Annie Lennox AND Eurythmics have albums due this fall

Annie Lennox is back!! And this fall she's got TWO new albums, one is a solo album and the other is a reunion album with Dave Stewart! This is definately the best of both worlds because I know that solo Annie and Eurythmics fans are generally in different camps, so fans of both will get their taste buds satisfied this fall.

I hope the new Eurythmics album is better than Peace, that album was such a letdown considering we waited a decade for it.

that'll be cool. I have not been too big a fan of her solo works because it's been a little too much on the Sarah McLachlan ballad-heavy side for my taste. I miss the Annie of "Savage".

one thing that is pretty funny is that I have some old Rolling Stone issues from the early 80's, and in one from 1983, people objected to the fact that Annie Lennox was on the cover of RS in Sept 1983. Letters said things like "The Eurythmics are destined for one-hit-wonderdom, why give them a magazine cover" and "in five years, who will remember Annie Lennox?". It's funny because 22 years have passed and Annie is arguably the one who lasted the longest of the 1980's UK New Wave MTV invasion. While Duran Duran recently made a comeback, it was after several years of bomb albums like Pop Trash that spent one whole week on the album chart. Annie's had a few albums (like Peace and Savage) that weren't exactly big sellers, but all in all she's been able to remain a consistantly successful artist.
