FOX Benches 'The Princes of Malibu' After Two Weeks

LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- FOX is pulling the plug on its summer series "The Princes of Malibu" after just two weeks on the air.

Repeats of "The Simpsons" will take over the show's Sunday, 8:30/7:30c slot beginning this week. A scant 3.96 million viewers tuned into "Malibu's" most recent episode, off a significant 32.42% from its lead-in "The Simpsons" (5.86 million) and 30.04% from its lead-out "Family Guy" (5.66 million). Said numbers were also off a steep 20% from its debut on July 11 (4.95 million).

Nevertheless, a scheduling note by FOX promises: "The previously announced remaining episodes of THE PRINCES OF MALIBU will be rescheduled at a later date."

Gary R. Benz, Brant Pinvidic and Spencer Pratt are the executive producers of "Malibu," which comes from GRB Entertainment.

Doesn't surprise me. I never watched it, but it got the worst review I've ever seen in People Magazine.

I've always hated that Linda Thompson since Bruce Jenner won the Decathelon at the Olympics. How many wives try to steal the spotlight by running onto the field when their husbands win a major sporting event. Its been so obvious from the beginning she's a selfish, gold-digging, attention-whore.

She and David Foster are also now divorcing (no surprise there other than that he tolerated the b*tch for 14 years - plus her loafing sons). I'm just sorry he's living in California where the laws say she'll stand to get half his fortune.

There was a clip of her saying that "David contributes a lot less to this family than people think". I suppose it was HER money who paid for the $40M mansion on a 22-acre property and was getting stuck with $700 dinner tabs his stepsons were sticking him with.

This one sounded like it was as much a waste of film as Growing Up Gotti is. :rolleyes:
