I haven't seen the show since back in the 80's, either. With the popularity of all the shows going to DVD & the fairly decent sales with many of the sitcoms, it could become a probability that this will be another consideration for DVD exposure.

All I could suggest is to post on the trade boards & you never know, you could luck out in seeing it sooner. This is a good site to swap for stuff that is otherwise virtually impossible to find, without spending loads of cash on Ebay by bootleggers & inferior quality for your money.

It hasn't been on either TV Land or Nick at Nite. I don't think Private Benjamin been aired since the early 90's.
