Hi,

I'm looking for a copy of this episode on tape. It aired in the spring of 1995 and has not been rerun on Lifetime. Here is what I know:

The double homicide took place on February 11, 1991 in Choupique, a suburb of Sulphur, Louisiana. Eric and Pam Ellender were allegedly murdered by a cocaine addict, Christopher Prudhomme (he hung himself in jail after being arrested on the charges). Their approximately 1 year old daughter who was in another bedroom at the time wasn't touched.

Huey Littleton, Pam's father, was pushing the Sheriff's Department very heavily to arrest a list of ndividuals who he thought were involved. In the UM episode they showed a cocaine-snorting party which supposedly occured at the residence after the shooting of the Ellenders. We don't know if this really occurred. Littleton was heavy into politics in this area and he was very unhappy with the way the Sheriff's Department handled the case, which I beleive is how the case might have caught the attention of Unsolved Mysteries.

The coke party does seem unlikely however. Acoording to Pudhomme, after he shot the Ellenders, he stole their truck and went home briefly before heading to Baton Rouge. I think he was arrested in Baton Rouge and brought back to the Calcasieu Parish Correctional Center where he hung himself after writting a letter of confession. At least two others were found guilty of accessory after the fact, Bobby Adkins and Philip LeDoux.

I'm not sure if this was in the UM episode, but they mentioned Prudhomme was watching a special about Charles Manson the night before the murders and he had been doing drugs.

I hope this description jogs some memories.

Thanks,
Justin

I remember that segment. I just didn't remember the names of those involved (such as the victims, suspects, etc.). I only saw it once on NBC, and that was it. So I regret to say that I never taped that episode.
