Season Two


Ep25: No Fun Funeral:
It's Rex's funeral. Bree has a hard time coming to terms with Rex's death and is comforted by Susan, Lynnette, Edie, and Gabrielle. Also, Gabrielle comes to terms with her new life without Carlos, yet she now is curious to find out who the father is. So, she has a paternity test done.

Ep26: Movin' On:
Bree attempts to move on. Bree invites Andrew, Tom, Mike, John, and Justin over to go throw Rex's clothes, in order to move on with her life she has to get rid of his clothes and personal items. Meanwhile, Paul and Zach Young leave Wisteria Lane in the middle of the night. Plus, Gabrielle learns the results of her baby's paternity test show that John is the father.

Ep27: Filing For Divorce:
Gabrielle decides to file for divorce, with help from Edie. Meanwhile, Lynnette begs her former boss to hire her back. Lynnette is hired on the spot. Lynnette is happy she got hired back, yet not sure if she will like the new role changes between her and Tom.

Ep28: Dinner Party:
Lynnette wants to throw a dinner party to celebrate her new job. She and Tom invite Susan, Mike, Gabrielle, Bree, Edie, and new neighbor Betty Applewhite. At first, the friends turn their attention on Betty, making Lynnette jealous and leaving Lynnette trying everything she can do to get back the attention from the new neighbor. Meanwhile, Julie and Danielle learn about Zach Young and his dad having left in the middle of the night.

Ep29: Out For Lunch:
After learning she too was a widow, Bree invites Betty to go out for lunch. Betty accepts and becomes instant friends with her. Meanwhile John befriends Betty's son, Matthew. Gabrielle starts to look for a job.

Ep30: Lights, Cameras, Action:
Gabrielle is offered the chance to host her own talk show, she accepts. Yet due to her pregnancy, she'll need maternity leave causing the show to be off the air. Gabrielle decides to have another co-host: Bree (because Lynnette, Susan, and Edie all have jobs already). Mike and Susan go out on a very romantic date. Mike decides to end the night by proposing to Susan, she immediately accepts.

Ep31: Daisy Harper:
Julie learns the boy she has a crush on is dating her rival, Daisy Harper. Julie and Danielle beg John to pose as Julie's boyfriend, when she is invited to Daisy's party. Meanwhile, Bree and Gabrielle discuss what concept their talk show will have. Betty witnesses Justin and Andrew kissing, and is stunned that Bree's son is gay.

Ep32: Life's Childhood:
Lynnette and Tom, after a week of trading roles, want to switch back so badly. Lynnette convinces her boss to hire Tom, after days of thinking, she allows the change. Lynnette tells the news to Tom, who is estatic. Meanwhile, Mike isn't fond of how Julie is acting lately. Turns out Julie's behavior was produced by the news of her dad, Karl, getting married in Vegas without even telling her and her mom.

Ep33: Motherly Ways:
Betty insists that Matthew go hangout with John, who is hanging out with Justin and Andrew. Matthew learns that Justin and Andrew are gay, so he tries to avoid being alone with them-until John talks to him-resulting with Matthew being okay with them being together. Meanwhile, Lynnette's mother, Lois (Penny Marshall) pays a visit with a secret: she wants to stay with Lynnette, Tom, and the kids-after hearing how Lynnette is becoming a hair-raised mom. Tom and Lynnette allow Lois to move in with them and help out with the kids.

Ep34: Boredom Is Never Fun:
Edie has a hot and heavy fling with one of her construction workers, resulting in gossip floating all over Wisteria Lane. Susan is not thrilled when she overhears Julie talking on the phone with Danielle about how much she wants to be like Edie when she's older. Meanwhile, Lynnette becomes bored when Lois has taken over for her now. Lynnette learns Bree and Gabrielle are getting together to talk about the premiere of their show, Lynnette asks if she can be apart of the talk show-the friends immediately let Lynnette become the third co-host.

Ep35: Letter From Carlos:
Gabrielle gets a letter from Carlos after he finds out that she has filed for divorce. Gabrielle learns Carlos is not happy with the divorce yet he is going to sign the papers anyway. Meanwhile, Edie, Susan, and Lynnette go out for an afternoon of shopping and spot Betty with a mysterious younger man (Blair Underwood). They both are curious how the mysterious hottie is. Turns out he is Betty's ex-husband/Matthew's dad, and that she was in her early thirties and he was barely legal when Matthew was born. Immediately they think of Gabrielle and John.
(note: Betty mentioned she was a widow. Betty remarried after Betty and Matthew's dad (Underwood) divorced. That was Matthew's stepfather was died leaving her a widow.)

Ep36: Engagement Party:
It's Mike and Susan's engagement party. Right before the party begins, Gaby receives a call from the show's producer who tells her that the show will be cancelled if they don't get five co-host unlike the three they got. Gaby tells Lynnette and Bree-they ask Susan and Betty-who decide to become co-hosts as well. Edie is jealous that no one asked her to be a co-host, yet she just thought of the master plan. The friends tell Gaby about Matthew's dad and Betty reminding them of her and John.

Ep37: Sleeping Around:
Edie decides to seduce her friends' show's married producer, Jeff (Rob Reiner). Edie seduces Jeff into sleeping with her, causing Jeff to feel guilty about cheating on his wife. Edie threatens to tell his wife unless he quits his job. So Jeff quits his job, leaving Edie's plan to go jsut perfect. Edie then decides to apply for the job of producer and gets it (mostly because of her sexual reputation). Edie surprises her five friends on the first day of shooting for the premiere-the friends are anything but thrilled....especially Susan!
