I've been watching the Season 4 DVD set and for the first time I noticed a big continuity problem in The Outing episode.

When the NYU student is interviewing Jerry, George says, "You see the way he talks to me?"

She then says, "You should see the way my boyfriend talks to me."

Just two days later she's making out with Jerry!!

Just something I noticed when watching that episode for the hundreth time :)

That's not a continuity problem....that's her fooling around on her boyfriend! ;)

(or maybe she had broken up with him in the past 48 hrs., but they never explain that!

Good catch MZ.

Without getting into hypothetical explanations too much, I always thought that by her tone she just kind of made that up that boyfriend comment to make George and Jerry feel comfortable, like there was nothing unusual in the way they interacted as a couple.

Or, she could have decided to leave him since she had the opportunity to get with a minor celebrity.

But based solely on the dialougue it looks like a problem. They could have fixed it by having George ask - "Your dating her? I thought she said she had a boyfriend!" and Jerry could say "they broke up" or "she just made that up to make you feel better" ...

or maybe she got tired of the "way her boyfriend talks to her" and broke up with him...

But, as Tripperfan said, she was probably just cheating on her boyfriend.

The girl who played the reporter was really cute... isn't she the girl that Jerry actually dated in real life for quite a while?

I bought the Season 4 DVD the weekend after it came out, and I've already watched the outing at least 10 times...I love that episode...
