From MTVNews.com:

Hilary Duff has recruited a pair of very good friends to bring some rock to her forthcoming LP, "Most Wanted".

The 17-year-old recently said that Good Charlotte frontman (and rumored boyfriend) Joel Madden and his twin brother, Benji, wrote and produced three songs for the album. The disc will be a collection of the singer's most popular songs, along with four brand-new tracks.

"It's awesome because they're three of my favorite songs I've ever done. It was really fun being in the studio with them."

The actress/singer, whose multiplatinum 2003 debut LP, Metamorphosis, spawned the hits "So Yesterday" and "Come Clean," is more than ready to undergo a musical transformation of her own.

"[These songs are] a totally different sound. The first one we're going to release is very dancey, kind of pop — not '80s, but kind of with that in it, so it's very fun. Another is more techno, like DJ Sammy almost, and the third one is a pop-punk song, more like [Good Charlotte's] music," she said.

The album is slated for release on August 16.

Yes it is. Usually, a singer would wait until after he/she releases their 5th album. With Hilary releasing 2 multi-platinum albums, a Christmas album, and numerous contributions to TV and Film Soundtracks, I'd say this is a risk she'll take at souch a young age.

Did I forget to mention that "Most Wanted" will be Hil's last record with Hollywood Records? After "Most Wanted" is released, she'll record her next album with Tommy Mottola's Casablanca Records Label.
