Monster In Law with Jane Fonda and J.LO was tops at the box office. The movie made 24 million dollars. This is Jane Fonda first movie in 15 years and J.LO in 2002 with her other big hit Maid In Manhattan. Some critics did'nt like Jane's perfromence, other's liked J.LO. But next week Star Wars 3 will be out and surely knock Monster-In Law to number 2 or 3 . Here are this weeks top ten movies.

3Unleased
4 Kingdom Of Heaven

One thing we know for sure, it will definitely not be the #1 movie starting May 19th.

Doesn't surprise me that it got lousy reviews. Any trailers I saw it looked like Jennifer was really pushing it. Comedy is NOT her forte. Actually, neither is drama, or singing, or dancing, or marriage.......

Basically it just looks like 2 hours of Jane and Jennifer reinacting old Road Runner and Coyote cartoons!

Jane Fonda and Jennifer Lopez catfighting for two hours, who wouldn't want to see it? J. Lo can exact revenge to Fonda over NVA, and Jane can exact revenge to J. Lo over being incredibly untalented. Looks like a funny film. When I saw Jane pulling J. Lo's hair hard, and then shoving her face into cake, I knew I had to see it. And I'm sure people who hate Fonda love seeing J. Lo hitting her with a shovel.

Seems like a cute film, but one that will be forgotten come next week with Star Wars coming out.

Why would Jane Fonda take a role liek this, I have not seen the film, but I read some where she could (probably have any film roles) if she wanted to. I liked Jane in Nine To Five,The Electric Horseman,On Golden Pond, and one of her first movies I think it was a science fiction movie. Hopefully Jane Fonda will pick the right role next time. She could be in the lead.

I wish Kicking and Screaming would have came on top although I'm not surprised. Monster in law didn't look THAT bad. I actually want to see it sort of. I'll skip Sith opening weekend and see that.

this is the kind of responce I was dreading. For 30 years, Jane's career was left unscathed after NVA, people went to her movies, they bought her aerobic videotapes by the bulk, but then suddenly the big left-wing celebrity blacklist of 2003 happened and now NVA is the only thing people want to remember Jane for.

I'd much rather support Fonda than Lopez, at least Fonda has talent, even if I dislike her personally.

You're mistaken. There are a huge number of people who never saw her movies or bought her videos. People who have had no use for her since her traitor days. This isn't new, and it isn't a blacklist. It's people exercising their right to pick and choose which movies, music or books they want.

Jane Fonda's 'In-Law' Uninvited
May 18, 2005

Two movie theaters in Kentucky have proclaimed that a certain Hollywood "in-law" is unwelcome there. The owner of both theaters, IKE BOUTWELL, has made it abundantly clear to the public that his decision to ban JANE FONDA's newest flick, 'Monster-in-Law,' is because of the actress's active role in opposing the Vietnam War. Boutwell, an active part of the American forces during the war, is even displaying a photo of Fonda with a North Vietnam anti-aircraft crew during the 70's and a sign that reads "No Jane Fonda movie in this theater." It's not the first time that Fonda has come under attack for her anti-war activism. Just last month, during a book signing for her new memoir, a Vietnam War veteran spit tobacco juice on the star to show his disapproval of her stance. Fonda didn't press charges against the man, but has continued to maintain her disapproval of the war despite the criticism.

When you put it like that, it does make it a little more palatable! Kinda like throwing Tonya Harding and Omarosa in a boxing ring - you really don't care who comes out on top as long as both get seriously injured in the process!!

Yeah - good luck to movies opening around Star Wars!!
