That? My aunt's father was Irish. Actually, we're not related by blood. She and my mom were best friends from yeras ago in Cleveland's northeast side, and my parents said that if they died before me and my two siblings became adults that they would raise us. We've always been very close.

That pic was taken on my camera - Canon PowerShot SD630 I believe. That's why it came out so clearly, lol.

So it's really awesome that things FINALLY started turning around for me last year. :) (I met two other online buddies in person, other than Dutabi84 [Dustin], in 2006, totaling three. So that was the fourth meeting for me, I think)

Oh, I just remembered one of my failed meetups was with Dustin, back in July of 2004. Man, that was terrible... I don't like remembering that time. :lol:

:rofl: I know, people tell me that a lot. It helps that I turned off sounds on my phone. My phone normally is supposed to make a sound if I take a picture on it, but I disabled that. So you never even heard me take pictures on my phone. :lol: Plus my camera is really quick about taking pictures. So if I'm somewhere and want to take pictures, I whip it out, take a pic and put it away in five seconds. :)

Yep, hehe, I've been a video game chick for close to 20 years now. My parents thought I would outgrow it, but I never did. Yes, I don't play video games as much as I used to, but I still love playing 'em. Super Mario RPG came out in '95 or '96, and I was OBSESSED with that game way back when. I love having my own copy! Wheeee!

Ahhhh, memories. :lol:

I went to NYC in March of 2006 and LOVED IT SO MUCH.

I also did some, uh, partying with alcohol present (and, yes, I indulged in it. I was 20, five months from 21 at the time). I also managed to get, how do you say it, intoxicated. Never mind that it was a school trip with six college students total (four over 21, me and another guy were both 20) and EVERY SINGLE ONE OF US were pretty damn intoxicated by the end of that night. :lol:

Anyway, that's not the point of my story. We left the place in question and made our way back to our hotel in midtown Manhattan. We got off somewhere around 45th (we were staying at a hotel on 46th), and wandered between 42nd - 47th for 45 minutes. :lol: In the process, we ended up walking past the New York Public Library at about 2 o'clock in the morning, and I took this of one of the guys in my group:

I laugh every time I see this picture because of what happened beforehand. We eventually ended up in the right direction, and made it back to our hotel safe and sound. And by the way, you're posing next to the exact same lion as in the pic that I took.

Next time I go back to NYC, it won't be like that though. Heh.

lol, I'm mostly German with Polish on top of that, so I SHOULD be as white as they come too, but I'm not. I'm also Romanian and THAT is what shows (the olive skin & the hair). :lol: It's interesting how that works, indeed. So when people meet me for the first time, they're always surprised to hear that I'm mostly German/Polish.

I haven't met anybody else outside of my family with Romanian blood in my neck of the woods, so I guess we're a rare breed in ND, lol.
