Hi,
I love reading these. I don't know how you get them. Can you post Channel 56 in Boston, weekdays 1982 or 83? I would love to see this.
Hope you take requests.

Do you have any schedules for the Milwaukee stations WITI and WISN from 1987-1996?

I can take requests. I am getting these listings from Radio-Info.com's Classic TV message
board. Just go to www.radio-info.com and click on boards. Then scroll down to television boards
and click on "Classic TV". You will find scores of old television listings from across the U.S. .

12 N Hot Potato
10:30 The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson(not cleared by NBC affiliate)

Wow. It baffles the mind why on the face of the earth ZTV (who's now a FOX Affil, FWIW) would air reruns of Hot Potato - which had been off the air for 4 months on NBC at that point.

And I NEVER would have guessed they aired Carson at the time. Wow.

At that time WSMV channel 4, Nashville's NBC affiliate, did not carry Carson, choosing instead to
run reruns of Barney Miller and Three's Company at 10:30 and 11 PM Central. They claimed
that this helped improve channel 4's ratings.

I remember when my DAD lived in Tennessee back in the 1980s and I used to visit him, the NBC station refused to show Johnny Carson and showed repeats of Family Ties and Benson after the news, they did not even show Johnny until the like the last few months in 1992. Can anyone in the area clarify this story??? I was young and coming from divorced parents I had to keep up with a lot of TV in different states. I think WZTV was an independent station and did not become FOX until sometime in the 90s.

The Family Ties and Benson airings occured sometime around the mid to late 80s.
