Computer question.

Does anyone here know how to use a scanner to attach images in posts here?
I'd like to send in images to the "pictures of beautiful women" thread, but I don't own a scanner, and I'd like to use the computer at FedExKinko's.

Question: What kind of connectable scanner do you have? Is it a USB or parallel connection? USB is a small connector while parallel is about a 1.5" connector that hooks into the serial port that connects your printer.

ask someone at FedexKinkos to help you with the scanner - or why dont you just search (http://images.google.com/) for the picture online, and link the pic? It be a LOT less work, and much quicker...

That's a way, or search for the pic, copy it as a jpg to your hard drive and then upload it under "manage attachments". I had problems at first too, but now its really simple. TJ has some good software on here. :wave:

I found a way to put up the pics at the "pics of beautiful women" thread. I'll tell you tomorrow how I did it. :wave:

I got this tip from page 352 of PCs for Dummies (9th edition). I right-click the image, then I click on the "save image as" option and send the image to "My Documents." One good feature of this is that you can print out an image you like from the computer, saving tome and printer ink.
