Damn you David. I was JUST about to make this thread.
Anyway, this is really freaking me out. Paula claimed he was lying...but um this sounds pretty damn real, especially when they played that clip of her talking where she said "don't tell anyone". Oh geez. Paula, Paula, Paula. :o

Eh. I don't know. So far, certain aspects sound interesting, but something is holding me back from believing it, and it's just that Corey Clark is the one talking. If it were someone like Josh, Rickey, Charles, George or whatever, then I would totally believe it, but Corey is just... yeah.

Now this is really making me think. What if like... Fantasia... and Randy...?

Yeah, I believe it for the most part but it's a little weird how NO ONE found out. I feel like they're dedicated to the show 24/7 and I just don't see how he could find time to be sneaking around with Paula throughout all this...?

Yup, that's exactly what I was thinking. It just seems really hard. But yeah, even Carmen, Julia, and Kimberley from his season are against him  But then again, it all really started before the top 32.. so... yeah.

I believe it a little more after hearing what his parents said. I mean, what parents would lie about their son having sex with a woman who is 10+ years older than him? That'd just be embarrassing....but I mean, if it's true, it's true.
David

AH COREY'S SINGING >_<
I remember reading that he got DQed in 2003, and that made the season even better.

2+ hour phone calls? Going to buy a phone... giving him her PHONE numbers!!! That's bad enough in itself.
Then there's the medicine... spending the night at her house and well, you know.

How old is he? Because Paula was 38 at the time. I was thinking more along the lines of 16-18 years.

Oh it was nothing. He just went to her when it was the line "and I owe it all to you" I thought it would be something.. scandalous.

Well the next part is scandalous. We're gonna hear a message she left him. I don't know but if I were Paula I'd be pretty damn pissed right now because this special is making her look like a slut.

Isn't it a coincidence that the most scandalous phone calls and messages that they described were not played? I think not. This is all BS.

Ugh. I was bored. I could care less about Corey. I wanted them to talk about the voting and other such scandals.

Umm yeah I think I believe him.
David

Hmm. I thought about it, and though certain aspects seem very believable, I don't believe it. I mean, it's fun to believe, but his reasoning was not very good.
The reasons why I don't believe it:
-They kept referring to that performance in Hollywood where Corey forgot his words and went to Paula to serenade her, and to me, I didn't think that was a strong point. It happens. She's like that. Bo put his hat on Paula this season -- doesn't mean that they're having an affair.
-The "Time of Your Life" point was kinda like... so what? I really saw no legitimacy in that point. It seems like he just went through tapes and found anything that looked interesting.
-The Paula phone calls -- they weren't really as scandalous as I imagined. I mean, assuming Paula didn't do anything, I would react the same way she did and say "don't talk to the press".
-Corey Clark. He's just a lie in himself. I mean, seriously, look at him. He's fishing for a book deal, he needs a place to promote his album, so why not do this?
The reasons why I kinda believed it at some parts:
-The "Foolish Heart" part seemed a bit believable.
-His answer about Paula's house, her dogs, etc, were all kind of believable too.
-His parents
-The throat medicine
Overall, I don't think it'll hurt the show. I honestly was expecting more... I wanted to see what other contestants thought about "contestant pimping" and "judge favoring" and stuff, not "paula and corey's 'affair' "

It probably was bull-**** because this primetime report was aired in MAY. May SWEEPS. Nough said.

So what will happen with Paula now?

FOX took over the lead at 9 p.m. with "American Idol," 15.1/23, and "Stacked," 7.6/12. CBS took sole possession of second thanks to "Without a Trace," 8.0/12. "Alias" averaged 6.0/9, beating the slumping "Revelations" on NBC. "Kevin Hill" kept UPN in fifth, beating The WB's "Jack & Bobby," 1.7/3.
ABC's "Primetime Live" special, which featured former "Idol" contestant Corey Clark discussing his alleged affair with judge Paula Abdul, scored a 9.2/15 to win the 10 p.m. hour. "CSI: NY" was second for CBS with an 8.8/14, leaving NBC's "Law & Order," 7.9/13, in third.

So what will happen with Paula now?
She may be asked to resign. Just don't know if it'll happen in the next couple of days or they'll stay quiet until the finale, and then we'll hear that she won't be back next year.
I went into the special figuring it was complete bullsh*t, but those cell phone records, witnesses at the phone store, and the message she left sure doesn't look good at all. I can't believe she risk her career for that stupid young punk (Constantine maybe, but not Corey)!!

I saw it. There was absolutley NOTHING about it being rigged.
Anyway i think most of it was just Corey just trying to get publicity. Some of it may be true but i doubt the sexual thing is true.

This is my thoughts:
Ok, i can believe SOME of the stuff, i can believe Paula may have told him what song to sing, what to look like, ect., but i doubt the sexual thing is true. First of all, the freaking message thing at the end was soo confusing, they should have showed the whole message. What i think is: Paula and Corey may have had a friendship but i doubt it turned sexual.
Plus, the whole thing looked planned.

I find it incredibly stupid for Paula to act that way. Maybe it was all the painkillers clouding her judgement.

I don't think she'll be asked to resign. Otherwise, the producers wouldn't have had Carrie and Vonzell give her flowers last night.

I don't know what to believe. I really can't see Paula and Corey together. I do think that Corey used this as his chance to talk about his cd. Did anyone else catch that?

Remember - they're probably still going with "innocent until proven guilty" right now until their investigation is completed. Even if it has been completed and plans are in the works, they're still going to do something like that for the public to seeto offset as part of damage control for the competitive network to be airing the special right after AI's airing last night. It's done for public image.
I agree and don't think it was necessarily a sexual relationship at all. I've lived with RA for 22 years and know that when you're in extreme chronic pain, the last thing you think of, or want is sex. I do agree that possibly the painkillers and pain itself helped lead her to make the terrible misjudgement of getting involved with him at all. But I do believe she was involved and helped him along in the contest. For THAT alone - she should be removed as a judgee. No matter WHAT they feel, they all have to remained unbiased. They might not in their personal judgements, but at least in having any hands on assistance. That was the thing that crossed the line for her with AI - if there truly were a sexual relationship, then that would just be icing. I do think he's throwing that in there - otherwise wouldn't he have proven that as well last night?
