Yay!!! :woohoo:
The first and greatest costumed superhero, and the best superhero movie.
Damn straight. One of my favorite movies ever, and I think it deserves to be listed as Number One. :)

Superman is a good choice, but where is Superman 2?
Arguably the better movie.
It didn't even make the list, what a load.
1. Superman
2. Superman 2
3. Batman Begins
4. Spiderman 2.
5. Spiderman

That list is just wrong in so many ways.
"Hulk," "Hellboy," "Ghost World," and both of the "X-Men" movies make the list but "Batman Returns" doesn't? Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight!

I'm talking about "...Returns" not "...Begins."

Explain why Superman 2 is not on the list.

I think the first Superman movie had the great feel of a comic come to life, everything worked, Christopher Reeve and all the casting, the music (John Williams, thank you), the writing, it all just clicked. A little long but Reeve was Superman, I mean he just was.
And Superman 2 was just a brilliant confrontational and emotional movie- as far as comic book characters go I mean. I think of Spiderman 2 as taking a cue from this and taking it well to heart.
Where I'd like to put Spiderman 2 next on the list, Dr. Octopus just fails a bit.
Nowhere near as interesting as the Green Goblin, and nowhere near as cool as Zod (in Superman 2).
Batman Begins takes number 3 for sheer authenticity in its intentions, if not (of course) completely believable. Nothing too ridiculous, and completely uninsulting. And fun, exciting, and eye grabbing. I thought it was really well done.

Yep you're right, Superman the Movie is what just about all comic book movies are modeled after ;) Even Spider-Man Movies took it's cue from Superman the Movie :)
