The Beatles made a lot of wonderful, carefully crafted records, but a few songs made it through with some mistakes, errors, and false starts. Such as:

"Please Please Me" - On the stereo remix, John sings "Why do I never even try, girl" instead of the correct "I know you never even try, girl," and the follwing "Come on" is thus sung with a chuckle.

"I'll Get You" - When John sings "I'm gonna change your mind," Paul and/or George sing "I'm gonna make your mind."

"What You're Doing" - At the beginning of each line Paul shouts out a word and John and/or George back him. They got a couple of words wrong. When Paul sings "You" the first time, someone signs "I'm."

"Drive My Car" - George Martin said something about a guitar out of tune somewhere, and I think the backing vocalists sing "Baby, I've got something to say" instead of the correct "Listen to me, I've got something to say."

"I'm Looking Through You" - Stereo copies of the U.S. 12-song Rubber Soul issued in 1965 (not the CD) boast a false start on this song.

"Dig A Pony" - A false start, caused by Ringo having to blow his nose (his sniffling is clearly audible) was left in by Phil Spector when he mastered Let It Be.

But hey, rock and roll isn't supposed to be perfect. And the Beatles's mistakes are true to the spirit of rock and roll; they're not just spontaenous, they sound spontaneous.

"We all make mistakes. . . ." Ringo to John after a drum error while recording "It's Only Love," June 15, 1965

Led Zeppelin and Ozzy liked keeping mistakes in their recordings because it made it sound more human.
