I only own one Cyndi Lauper album, She's So Unusual, so I'm not all that aware of most of what she has done, but here goes..

1. She Bop
2. Girls Just Wanna Have Fun
3. True Colors
4. Time After Time
5. Money Changes Everything

I would like to go on record and say that IMO She's So Unusual is probably the greatest album ever recorded by a female artist and far better then anything Madonna ever did. At least I think so anyway.

I'm surprised you've never checked out any of her other albums, not even at least True Colors, if you thought SSU was the best female album ever. I like pretty much all of her albums besides At Last, the whole jazzy standards thing bores me.

My older sister, who is two years older then me (she just turned 31), has quite a few of Cyndi Lauper's albums so I have heard them. I was simply just never that impressed with her other albums, though I do think that "True Colors" is a great song...later butchered by Phil Collins.

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun

I Drove All Night

Time After Time

She Bop

I can't think of a fifth fave song. I think Cyndi's version of "I Drove All Night" is better than Celine Dion's version, though.

A radio station around here [mix 98.5] had their lil Mix Concert or whatever it was called, and she was one of the performers. The others were: Sheryl Crow, Howie Day, Gavin Mcgraw, and the Pat McGee Band. She was amazing and the crowd seemed to LOVE her. I wouldnt mind seeing her again.

another Cyndi song that should've been a classic for her but inexplicitly stiffed on the singles chart was "Hole In My Heart". The song peaked at #54 but really should've been a top 10 hit. I loved her in Vibes as well.

I know, I love her songs, but it seems, in my eyes only, that she had maybe a handful of hits. just my opinion, also, I am being a little sarcastic. I am sure mega fans of Cyndi's may like alot of her songs that I am not aware of.

"The Ballad of Cleo and Joe" is a great unknown Cyndi song.

actually, Cyndi had a very respectable number of hits. It's just that from day one, her and Madonna were being compared, and Madonna has since totally eclipsed Cyndi in terms of # of hits that Cyndi almost looks like a one hit wonder. But she did have about 12-15 songs that were successful to an extent. Outside of Madonna, Whitney and Janet, Cyndi probably was one of the biggest female hitmakers of the 80's.
