38.Rock With You-Michael Jackson- one of his better numbers

31.Pilot Of The Airwaves-Charlie Dore- she had 1 hit, but this song is fun
30.Daydream Believer-Anne Murray- she made some good cover songs
29.I Pledge My Love-Peaches & Herb- I remember this so distinctly I'm surprised it wasn't a bigger hit
28.And The Beat Goes On-Whispers- this is a great jam that really holds up over time
24.Yes I'm Ready-Teri De Sario With KC- this is the only KC record other than Give it Up that I ever really liked

18.Give It All You Got-Chuck Mangione- great instrumental, it was used for the Olympics that year

13.I Can't Tell You Why-Eagles- this record really captures a certain mood, r&B group Shai did a very good cover of it with Larry Carlton a couple years ago
12.Longer-Dan Fogelberg- pretty wedding song
11.Special Lady-Ray Goodman & Brown- great soul ballad, the best of their hits IMO

9.Ride Like The Wind-Christopher Cross- why do people bash this fellow? He made good records like this one and Mike Mcdonald's background vocals add just the right touch to this
8.The Second Time Around-Shalamar- like the Whispers tune this one has aged really well
7.Too Hot-Kool & The Gang- I prefer stuff like this to the funk records they were cutting in the 70s

2.Working My Way Back To You/Forgive Me Girl-Spinners- this is one of their best singles because Phillipe Wynn (sp?) who was a bit of an egomaniac wasn't around and there are no anonymous female singers singing on it

These songs bring back so many good memories.

To point that out, "And the Beat Goes On" by the Whispers was #16 and #28 on both WABC and AT40 surveys. The song was sampled into a rap song called "Miami" by Will Smith.
