Fully agree!

I've TRIED to watch it a couple of times (thought maybe the Wife Swap ep. might have been funny) but I was WRONG!!! This show is horrible!!

Meanwhile, I liked Faith Ford in Murphy Brown and I had nothing against Kelly per se, but this thing is a train wreck!

I swear it would be off the air if Kelly didn't promote it every chance she gets on Regis & Kelly!

UGH! This annoys me, why come here and complain about the show? Some of us here do like it. There are shows I don't like but I don't go to those boards and complain about them

You're quite welcome to start your own thread about liking it, but we just don't. There's no reason why we can't express that as well. Geez - what a grouch!!

Kelly Ripa is an adorable charmer, I've liked Faith Ford since her days on "Murphy Brown" and Ted McGinley is a very capable comedic actor, but nevertheless "Hope & Faith" is less than the sum of its parts. The problem? The writing is miserable...bad jokes, and silly situations that you don't believe for a minute. You would think that since "Hope & Faith" is the only sitcom filmed in New York, some capable comedy writers could be found.

I want to like this series, I really do, but the dreadful writing just sinks it.

I think you're right. If they could try changing the writers, it might really help it. Both ladies are proven performers, so it really can't be that. It must be the writing. Too bad, I had such high hopes for it.

Was Hope and Faith renewed? I started watching it instead of REBA on Friday nights. I adore this show. I don't watch Almost Perfect or whatever the show is after Hope and Faith. oh and I loved the Wife Swap episode! I hope it repeats cause I didn't catch the first few minutes of it when it aired.

The show is chessy and a bit unrealistic, but that makes it funny.

I agree that it's hillarious but if people want to complain about it they should be able too.

Sure it's cheesy, but I love it! Saved By The Bell is cheesy, but still really popular.

Cheesey yes, but is cheesey bad. There are a lot of great comedy shows that were a bit cheesey. The airhead blondes that play off one another in classic formation of opposites. One home body, consevative who is the perfect "Leave it to Beaver" mom. and the other..well what can you say about the sister that is heading 180 miles an hour with her hair on fire..going no where..I think it is a cheesey HOOT! Best since the classic Lucy and Ethel. I just wished more liked the slap stick, crazy, wayout girls. The show will likely not make it passed this season...I for one will miss the show when that happens.

Let's not sell it short...

It's hanging in there ratings wise (skin of the teeth, maybe...) and another season will give them plenty of episodes to syndicate... ABC is pretty invested in the show now, and I think it would make little sense to can it before syndication...

Now Hot Properties, on the other hand... Strike 13 and they were out... As was the case with the other dogs they tossed in before and after H&F...

Perhaps Less than Perfect will go back on the schedule in January... Or the Dancing With the Stars result show. Lots of options...

I understand H&F is pretty popular in London... LOL... So maybe the American market will not solely determine it's fate...

;0))

Hope and Faith is a brillaint show, and by the way, if you didn't already know, its the type of show which is ment to be cheesy, its the sort of stuff which would never happen. Infact, alot of it is more realistic than Friends, how come in friends they always get the sofa and coffee table in the coffee house, do they reserve it or something, are the cast never anywhere else.
H&F is a fantastic show and if you don't like it then thats your problem.

I think it got better in season two, the only thing i think let it down was the change to sydney. Come on, the wife swap episodes were brilliant. Very original.

I like Faith and Hope sometimes, I just think Kelly acts too nervous on the show. I've seen her on All my children and WOWZA  she's a nervous Nelly on this show. I do like Scott McGingley... ;)

For a start, who the hell is Scott McGingley, i think you mean Ted Mcginley.
And secondaly, how is Kelly nervous at all on H&F, she is brilliant, and so is Faith Ford who is ment to be more os a nervious up tight person.
