Still going strong? It's aired 2 episodes. Where does the "strong" part come in?

He's talking about the american version, not the BBC version.

And I agree that it will be around a long while.

I know he was not talking about the BBC version. I've seen all the UK Office episodes and a huge fan of BBC comedies but people like this just spout out quick one line sentences in an attempt to look smart which I doubt very much as he has a link to a "Wings" fan page in his profile..lol

I went into this series with an open mind and have come out impressed after three episodes. I'm looking forward to next weeks episode.

Well here's an idea. Just don't watch it anymore if it's so awful and go spend your free time playing outside with the Beaver..

I watched a couple of episodes, it is funny. However, I'm not sure if it will last too long.

Well it has been comfirmed for a second season and a first season dvd release so i guess it has impressed NBC, but so didn't Arrested Development it was supposedly big the first season so they released the dvd right away and boom it is left in the dust so to speak. even though arrested development has another season i think it has lost some viewers for some reason. so we will call it "The Early DVD Release Curse" hahahaha.

PS, Peter May is it too late to bet you 50 dollars that your wrong cause i Guarantee im right. hahahaha :) :) :) :)

Lots of people predicted the American "Office" would die a quick death, but it is slowly but surely gaining strenght.

I think it has a lot to do with Steve Carrell. If "40 Year Old Virgin" tanked in the theaters, then "The Office" probably would have been gone by now.

and now The Office has been renewed for Season 3. Since the move to Thursday ratings have increase especially in the 18-49 category. Props to NBC for showing faith in the show.

I've been watching the show off and on since it started, and was about ready to give up, but the last few episodes have been hilarious.

The Office is fantastic. Without a doubt one of the best sitcoms left on network TV!

Whoever made this thread is ignorant and kinda dumb sorry. Be gone in a month? The Office is currently on it's 3rd season. There already pretty sure there will be a 4th as well. This show is absolutely hysterical. I love the show, all of the stars, and secondary stars in the show as well. It has really been building well now with relationships in the office, etc.

With Oscar coming out of the closet. Dwight and Andy fighting for top positions, etc. etc. I could see this show going adleast 5 seasons. I love the show. :)

I think this show will be on for at least 6 seasons. The reason for this is because it doesn't get great ratings but decent enough ratings to stay on the air. Especially when most of NBC shows aren't doing terrific.

....because, for one thing, they OWN it. They have an "investment" to protect- they want to make sure there's enough episodes "in the can" to start reissuing them on cable or local broadcast channels within a year or so...and the lucrative DVD box sets of the show also figure in their "vision" of just HOW long the series is going to last. This is NBC's comedy equivalent of "ST.ELSEWHERE" and "HOMICIDE"- "THE OFFICE" is never going to be a "Top 10" hit, but it does attract enough "fans" who have the income that NBC can charge advertisers to make the show "pay off"...and buy those box sets as well. So, I wouldn't worry about it "disappearing" any time soon....

It's a solid show and one of the better performing sitcoms on the air today. Also, it's a critical darling. While the masses aren't flocking to it, the show does appeal to a demo that advertisers are keen to reach. I don't watch the show regularly, but from time to time, I catch clips online and they hit the funny bone. Here's a handy one-stop site where you can find those clips: www.linkedvideo.com
