I catch eps of this show from time to time and just was wondering is Darlene always MISERABLE? She is never Happy from the eps I seen. She is always in such a sour mood. Is that what her character was supposed to be? She has to be the most Grumpy Sitcom Daughter I ever saw. And when you are not that attractive to begin with, being Grumpy just adds to the unattractiveness-LOL

Well, she's not always miserable, sometimes it's just Becky doing that. :lol: That is her character though(of course). It's a sitcom, not real life. :rolleyes:

I know it's sitcom asscrack which is why I asked the question about darlene, you know, THE SITCOM CHARACTER, on Roseanne.

Well, in the early episodes when Darlene was a real tomboy into the sports and all. She really wasn't always depressed like she ended up being later in the series. I think the change was actually a good change for her character.

She is not always like that but that is what makes her funny, Darlene (I think) makes us see how Roseanne herself might have been as a teen. :wave:

I hated Darlene in seasons 3,4,and 5. I also thought is was stupid when they let David move in he was a Sneaky Bastard to me.
