I have, and I'm SO glad I did! She's given me a lot of confidence to try new things!

Only problem is, she's 800 miles away, in Tennesee :(

Well, I don't know if this counts, but I was talking to a random person and then it turns out she was in my same class at school. Talk about a big coincidence... :crazy:

One of my best friends now is someone whom I met on these boards 4 years ago. We live in neighboring states, but 7 hours from each other. I went against safety advice and drove to see her and we have been good friends since. Even our families have done stuff together. But it is something that you have to be cautious about.

BTW I met three other people on here too, all four were through the Chico and the Man boards. All of them turned out to be very nice.

That first person you refer to, Lucky, would be me LOL! Has it really been 4 years OMG?! Longest friendship I ever had (well, at least since moving to this part of the country, sooo many years ago that I won't mention hee hee)!

I was also privileged to meet 2 of other people you did--all of you turned out to be such wonderful people, I have truly been blessed to know you!

Now if I could just arrange to meet in person (after 2 years of talking on IM) my "other dark angel", who also lives about as far from me as you do. I am sure he would turn out to be just as wonderful! He sure has already been yet another blessing to my life!

yep, i met my now fiance online... of course, we had friends that knew each other, so i knew when i started talking to him online that he wasn't a complete psycho
