you mean sitcoms that were sponsered by a resturant chain? Or ones that sometimes used a resturant in the show, like "Cheers" and "Taxi"?

Yes, I mean shows where the action goes in restaurant (like "Cheers")....
Is there any "restaurant" sitcoms, except those two that you named?

There was a short lived NBC sitcom called "Union Square" (97-98) that was set in a diner that was coincidently located in Union Square in Manhattan.

"Happy Days" at Arnolds or

"What's happening" in their favorite little restaurant.

"Laverne and Shirley" used to go to a Pops pizzaria.

Family Matters had "Rachel's Place" quite a bit in the 2nd and 3rd season... Laura and Urkel started working there when it was Leroy's, Steve burned it down, Rachel got the money to buy it and turned it into her restaurant.

Roseanne had the "Lunchbox" that Roseanne, Jackie, and their mother ran(Leon was the manager) basically from Season 5 through 8. A lot of things happened there including Jackie telling Bev she was pregnant. :rotflmao:

"It's A Living" (1980-81)/named changed to "Making a Living" (81-82)
revivied again as "It's A Living" (1985-89)

It focused on a group of waitresses at a first class restaurant.

"Becker" has almost half its action take place at Reggie's Diner.

"Frank's Place" took place at a restaurant.

The Good Guys was set in a diner, Bagdad Cafe took place in a hotel/restaurant, the first season of Jesse involved a bar quite a bit and nearly every episode of Becker had some scenes in a diner.

Yeah Baghdad Cafe... that was pretty much set completely in the restaurant.

In England there was also a sitcom called Spatz which was set in a fast food restaurant, it was all about the staff and the goings-on in a London fastfood chain.
Here's a link i found... it has opening themes, cast photo's etc.

besides "Cheers" and "Taxi", there was "Friends", "Frasier", "Mad About You", "Murphy Brown" "Love and War"-a short-lived CBS sitcom in 1994, "Gomer Pyle: U.S.M.C."-and that's all I can think of right now.

The dreary drama "Tattingers" was reworked into the horrific sitcom "Nick & Hillary." Both took place at a restaurant that shared its name with the drama, run by Stephen Collins and Blythe Danner. "Tattingers" was funnier.

Robin Riker's character ran a restaurant called Nicole's in "The Gregory Hines Show." Every episode had at least one scene there, I think.

Oh, and of course, Mark Burnett's "The Restaurant." If that wasn't a sitcom, I don't know what is.

The purpose is very simple. I (not I but production studio I'm working) gona make a sitcom. But the thing is that in my country we don't have so much sitcom series as there is in USA or in UK .... I'm Ukrainian (if you know where it is - good for you) and In fact we have seen only a few of series that you all talking about.
So I'm just making a little research...
If you will remember some more shows, PLZ write....
