I prefer NewsRadio. I find it funnier and I can watch it over and over again and still LOL every time. Murphy Brown got really old for me after awhile.

I've never seen Newsradio, but I plan on buying the Seasons 1&2 DVD set in May.

However, Murphy Brown gets better and better with each episode I watch. Definitely a favorite of mine.

Murphy Brown, without question. Newsradio was pretty good when it first started, but it got old fast to me.

"NewsRadio" had casting problems and useless characters. Everybody on "Murphy Brown" was essential to the ensemble.

"NewsRadio's" humor is fairly timeless, while "Murphy Brown's" writers chose to make every other episode about current events, making the thing dated by the time the episodes hit the air.

I'll have to call it a draw.

Actually, not much has changed compared to the first few seasons of Murphy:

We have a Bush in the White House. Most of the Power Players in the current administration are the same as they were in the Original Bush administration. We were in Iraq then, we're in Iraq now.

About the only thing that's changed between the two is Dan Quayle, and anyone who knows even thing one about recent history *gets* why there's all the jokes about him

I'm not familiar with "Newsradio" but I'm quickly becoming a "Murphy Brown" fan through Nick, and having bought season 1 on DVD recently. As someone already posted, most of the jokes from back then still work, b/c a lot of the people are still around. Plus, I was around back then, and I at least know enough history to get the references (esp. the Dan Quayle ones, hehe!).

Seeing as NewsRadio is my all-time favorite show, I'll have to go with that one.

I'm watching the "Murphy Brown" DVDs, trying to get into that show. It's okay, but it's far from being one of my favorites.

Is news radio seasons 1 and 2 really coming out in May? I heard at one time it got cancelled or delayed. But I would vote newsradio. I never liked murphy brown.

That's probably because Dan Quayle was a complete idiot. Political views aside, anyone who does not identify Dan Quayle as an idiot is an idiot themselves.
