this will probably be the ONLY L&C set I pick up. And maybe season 2. I recorded season 3 and 4 and most of season 4 was just "lets go to bed" and some plot before that. Plus, the show ended so abruptly - they never told us where the baby came from! But I never got to see two or 3 season 1 eps due to preempting (we only had one ABC station when the show started and they PREEMPTED a L&C epiosode to show a debate between two candidates for a political office. Really made me mad) Ooops, went off topic there.....

Kryptonsite is reporting about a rumor on their news page about Lois and Clark, and the Adventures of Superman coming out on June 7th, the same day as Wonder Woman Season 2. I hope so, 3 great shows on one day would rock! :)

June 7 is what I hear, too. That seems to be when the next "Wave" comes out. So epxect a bonus disc with this set!

Cool, not bad extras but they could have been better, I would have loved to see more commentaries on more episodes though, and deleted scenes and bloopers :(

I'm just happy we now have a release date

Tonight WB Home Video had an online chat. A question was asked about the release of LnC. It went something like this:

Can you also tell us how far a part will you release LOIS & CLARK? Will Teri Hatcher be involved for the bonus material in future sets, as Dean Cain is for season one?

They answered something like this:

LOIS AND CLARK S1 which is coming this June contains special features including new Teri Hatcher interviews. You can expect more LOIS AND CLARK in 2006

First, on behalf of the FoLCs, I'd like to thank Warner for releasing season one of Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman on DVD. We'd like to know a few things, are there going to be outtakes, what about the aspect ratios on the Lois and Clark DVDs, and are there plans to release the other three seasons quickly? (Possible dates, please?)

Warner's answered something like this:

LOIS & CLARK will be 4x3. No outtakes, but EXCELLENT supplements are planned. Others will follow faster than a speeding bullet.

Yes an all new Teri Hatcher interview, this rocks!

“As one of television’s true iconic characters, the Superman legend has been entertaining television audiences for generations,” said Christine Martinez, WHV Vice President, Non-theatrical Franchise Marketing. “Before she was a “Desperate Housewife”, Teri Hatcher first gained popularity by playing another feisty female character with her popular role on Lois & Clark, a contemporary spin on the comic book character that paved the way for the hit WB series Smallville.”

Martinez adds, “Wonder Woman was a social and cultural phenomenon o the 70’s, whose popularity has translated well on DVD. This final release provides fans with the opportunity to complete their Wonder Woman library in just one year since the Season 1 release on DVD.”

Lois & Clark – The New Adventures of Superman: The Complete First Season

Casting a fresh look on a timeless legend, this exciting, action-packed update of the DC Comics Superman franchise captures the daring exploits of the mysterious visitor from another planet and brings the city of Metropolis to life. Originally aired in the 1990s on ABC, this humorous and romantic action-adventure series puts a modern twist on the time-honored, legendary superhero, bringing to life the comic book characters Clark Kent (Dean Cain); his superhuman alter-ego, Superman; and Lois Lane (Teri Hatcher), fiction’s first lady of the press, in the most unrequited romance of all time.

Available in a 6-disc collector’s set featuring all 21 episodes from Season One, including the two-hour long pilot episode, Lois & Clark: The Complete First Season is packed with high-flying bonus features including:

* Pilot episode introduction
* “From Rivals to Romance: The Making of Lois & Clark” retrospective documentary features new interviews with Dean Cane and Teri Hatcher
* “Taking Flight: The Visual Effects of Lois & Clark” behind-the-scenes featurette

Additionally, Lois & Clark: The Complete First Season DVD will carry a commemorative bonus disc containing the never-before-released-on-DVD Smallville episode “Crusade”. The Season 4 premiere episode introduces Lois Lane (Erika Durance) in Smallville for the first time. The WBTV 50 years of Quality Television commemorative bonus disc will only be available for initial ship orders.

Wonder Woman: The Complete Third Season

With the strength of Hercules, the wisdom of Athena, the speed of Mercury and the beauty of Aphrodite, Lynda Carter returns as Wonder Woman for all 24 episodes of the third and final thrill-packed season of the series that has become a pop culture phenomenon. Teamed with flint-jawed government agent Steve Trevor (Lyle Waggoner) and using the alias of Diana Prince, Wonder Woman whips out her bracelets and lariat to battle evil. And what a battle it is. Her foes include a time traveler from the year 2155, a brain with no body, a dating service that’s serving up death, bazillions of hungry ants and a sculptor whose statues come to life and become his partners in crime. Wonder Woman certainly saved the best adventures for last!

A must-own for fans, the Wonder Woman: The Complete Third Season 4-disc DVD set includes these exciting bonus features:

* Never-before-seen featurette “Wonder Woman: The Ultimate Feminist Icon” about the character’s influence as a female role model

Dean was on Extra last night, and they showed a brief clip of the interview that will be on the Season 1 DVD, Apparently the clips of Dean and Teri talking come from the actual DVD. Dean's clip was him talking about having to do a kissing scene with a dozen actresses and that "Clearly she Teri was the best kisser of the bunch."

Teri's interview obviously was made from the set of Desperate Housewives. She talked about how her hair was cut for the role of Lois. She said they put her hair back in a ponytail and cut off the ponytail. She said she kept it in the glove compartment of her car a while afterward.

The Extra piece also showed a lot of clips from first season episodes like the pilot, Pheromone, My Lovely, Witness and Barbarians at the Planet. There was also a snip of Dean from the black and white tattoo commercial ABC ran before the show debuted.

Pav did you notice any scene "jumps" in any of the episodes? I've watched the first two episodes, and in some scenes there's a slight "jump" I don't know if I got a defective copy or if it's from the original masters

I'll have to watch the rest of the episodes and see if it does it in those. It's in some scenes, it's more like a flicker, but it's very noticeable. If the others do it, then I guess I'll have to exchange it :(

I had a hard time for disc 5 getting to work. I hope I didn't scratch it. I blame the overlapping discs for that.

I noticed on the pilot presentation thing a small sound problem when they show him flying in just his clothes and not his superman suit yet. I'm only on DISC 2 and as soon as I'm done watching that, I'm skipping ahead to the two episodes I recorded when it aired in syndication on TNT - Phermone my Lovely and Honeymoon in Metropolis. Its so nice not having to wait for commercials to be over to watch the show!

I need Season 2 now. :p
