If I say something like, "Let me help that old lady so that something good will happen to me, because of Good Karma." Do I still get good karma, or is it canceled out because of my selfishness?

I believe in karma, too. Don't worry about what you'll get in return, though. You do good for others, something good will surely happen to you - somewhere down the road and when you least expect it. :)

Uh...
That's a bad reason to help an old lady anyway, just so something good will happen to you. You should just do it to be a nice person.

I dont do nice things for people because I expect god karma,i honestly just get satisfaction and I feel good about myself when i have helped someone else.

although karma administrators frown upon doing nice things just for your own good, it's not considered an offense to the official rules and you will receive the income you worked for.
