Here are some I'd like to see: "3rd Rock from the Sun." "M*A*S*H." "Night Court." "Newsradio." "The Golden Girls." "Wings": When its run on Nick at Nite expires, this one should be moved to TV Land and made full time, instead of just being the Friday Mini-Maraton show.

"Maverick" "The Rockford Files" "Get Smart" "The Odd Couple" "Night Court"
"It's About Time"*
*I'm sure some of you are wondering what this is. "It's About Time" was a short-lived sitcom on CBS in the mid-sixties.
if you want to know more about it, see this site:www.tvobscurities.com

M*A*S*H is far too high profile to ever air on TVLand. It needs a network that will have the time to play it almost constantly. Airing it on TVLand will only make less time for other series. That's why it makes a perfect home on Hallmark (and before that F/X).... they aired it as much as it needed to be.
In a similar fashion, I don't think Seinfeld should ever air on N@N or TVLand. It's just too big.
I do however, agree with many of the other choices. Although I feel Growing Pains should go to N@N rather than TVLand.

I liked watching Head of the Class and Perfect Strangers....but it would be SWEET to see Out of this World come back to TV.
For TVLand I would like to see:
Adam-12
Batman
One Day At A Time
Diff'rent Strokes
The Facts Of Life
Hello Larry
Battlestar Galactica(the original)
The Muppet Show
Rockford Files
Quincy M.E.
I would also say Columbo(70s), but being that it aired in 90-minute and 2-hour movies, it probably would not fit on TVLand.

Thats a pretty good list. I wouldn't mind seeing those shows again.
The three sitcoms that I'm combatting for right now are Alice, Mary Hartman Mary Hartman, and The Facts of Life. Any of those three would be just a few of the many shows that I think deserve to be somewhere...
Come on, Pav, you've known me long enough. You think any of the sitcoms are my style? *last question, I promise!*

Can you give us a clue, Pavan?
The information which pavanbadal has is confidential and neither he nor anyone else with that information is allowed to disseminate it at this point.
A leak of such information from TV Land, or any other network would put that person in a position to receive no further information, and would put the network in jeopardy in terms of advertising/sponsorship commitments.
There are new shows coming to TV Land, some of you will be excited, others won’t. When the appropriate time comes that information will be released, until then it doesn’t make sense to continually pester pavanbadal to release it, he’s not going to.

Probably the reason is they can fit more sitcoms on the schedule than they can dramas

Your probably right, although they could fit more sitcoms if they would quit doubling up on them. I wish they would bring back the A-Team and Adam-12. I got TV Land right before they went off. Theirs a lot of 70's dramas I wish they would air too.

I think the reason more sitcoms are coming than dramas is because, simply put, TV Land has enough dramas on their schedule as it is.
Hunter, Highway to Heaven, Bonanza and MacGyver all take up a large amount of the schedule. Not to mention Gunsmoke.
SCTV is an interesting choice to air. TV Land could have a really nice Friday and Saturday night block of skit shows (Burnett, Wilson and now SCTV) - in addition to Burnett and Wilson airing on the weekend mornings.
And yeah, I agree with Stephen (classictvhits). Pavanbadal can't give out any information too soon. I'm sure he'd love to. And believe me, I've tried to get stuff out of him and he won't budge.

Sitcoms also hold up better than dramas in terms of replay value.
Dramas have always been the holy grail of movies.
On television, comedy is king. (well, recently dethroned, but still)

We're talking about ABC Family here...
I think dramas should be fairly played on TVLand as well as sitcoms. If they didn't air the damn marathons every weekday afternoon (remember last year people were screaming at me that 'marathons NEVER last long'!?!?), they could easily make that a block of dramas. If I were at TVLand, and had the rights to any drama out there (this is just pretend, folks), this is how I'd do it...
(all times central)
12pm: Adam-12
12:30: Adam-12
1pm: Hart to Hart
2pm: Marcus Welby, MD
3pm: The Love Boat
4pm: Hotel
5pm: Family
I think that all the dramas, to prevent overloading, should be confined to just that afternoon block. The mini-marathons that they have now are completely unnecessary, IMO, and Wings is just plain too new.

15 years old is too new?
It's not like they're airing Frasier or Friends, those are too new :)
The ones you listed, do they even own the rights to those?
They do need an even balance of sitcoms and dramas though.
Besides TVLAND is the only place us Wings fans can see our show now :(

No...they don't have the rights...which is why I said...'and had the rights to any drama out there'...
And sure fifteen years seems long, but I still think Wings is up NAN's alley for right now. TVLand should focus on the first 40 years of popular TV (1940-1990). NAN should take the next ten (1990-2000). I like Wings, but I still think it's too new.

Yeah I wish TVLAND would air Perfect Strangers and shows like that, even if they aired it only on weekends, I'd be happy with whatever they'd give us.
N@N isn't airing Wings anymore. Pav said TVLAND has the rights for a few more years, and Wings ended 8 years ago, Cheers ended 12 years ago, that's only 4 years difference between the two, and Cheers is on TVLAND, so I think Wings is a good fit on TVLAND, cause it's not that new :)

Bringing this back up. Well, as of right now, TV Land is adding Night Court, Good Times, What's Happening!! and Little House on the Prairie.
Isn't this funny. Look at the shows that were listed on the TV Land website that viewers could (and can still) vote on:
227 - it's possible, i guess
7th Heaven - X
Amen - it's possible, maybe
Benson - it's possible, maybe
Blossom - I could see it on The N maybe, LOL.
Designing Women - Already on Lifetime
Diagnosis Murder - Already on PAX and going to Hallmark
The Dukes of Hazzard - On CMT
Empty Nest - doubtful (unfortunately, but I would love it being added)
Gilligan's Island - X (I guess they could get it back, but it's on Hallmark right now)
Gimme A Break - possibly (I guess)
The Golden Girls - X (Lifetime will likely never let it go)
Good Times - Coming in July 2005
The Honeymooners - X (I could see TVL getting it back eventually)
The Jeffersons - I could see it coming back. I've heard it did great for TVL, which makes them not renewing it a surprise to me back in 2002/2003.
Kate & Allie - doubtful (unfortunately)
Knight Rider - maybe (Doesn't SciFi still have the rights? I could see it on TVLand eventually)
Laugh In - doubtful (unfortunately)
Little House on the Prairie - Coming in 2005
Mad About You - Coming to N@N eventually (wasn't it in 2006?)
Newsradio - I guess I could see it on N@N but I doubt it.
Night Court - Coming to TVL in August 2005
One Day At A Time - hopefully!
Saturday Night Live - doubtful right now, IMO
Star Trek (original) - I wish...
Unsolved Mysteries - I highly doubt it
What's Happening - Coming to TVL in November 2006
Interesting list, isn't it...

Sunday
9-10 Full House
10-11 Perfect Strangers
11-12 Family Matters
Monday
9-10 Head Of The Class
10-11 Growing Pains
11-12 Who's The Boss?
Tuesday
9-10 Fatherhood
10-11 The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air
11-12 Benson
Wednesday
9-10 The Nanny
10-11 Home Improvement
11-12 Roseanne
