Is this album any good? Only songs i've heard from it is Joanna & Tonight. This dude i know burned me a copy of this album on cd since it's not available on cd so i'll find out if it's any good or not.

This was was good. The rest of the traks are listenable. You like the Emergency album? You should get into the Gang from 1969-1976. I know you didn't like them then, but if you're into instruments like I am, this era would make you appreciate them as a band. They really took pride in their instruments. Those horns were on the money. That is their trademark. That is why a horn is their logo. James Brown once admitted they were second baddest behind him.

I've heard their song You Don't Have To Change sampled by Masta Ace & Jeru The Damaja. That song is on their Light Of Worlds album that came out in 1974. I'm gonna check out their old stuff before James joined them GarfieldKool one day.

I like the title track as well as Joanna (the trombone solo is great) and Tonight is certainly pleasantly catchy. I think some song on this album won a grammy for inspirational performance in 1984 but I'm not sure. I've never heard the whole album though.
