Garden State, Cold Mountian, Closer...not only is Natalie Portman beautiful but IMO she is the finest actress of her generation. Anyone else agree?

I agree. I've always thought she was extremely talented, but this past year she REALLY showed that. I'm so glad she is nominated for an Oscar. If she doesn't win it this year, her time will definitely come.

She's amazing! I've loved her ever since I was 8 and saw her in the Star Wars movie....
I think her best work was in one of her first movies, "The Professional."

She did a great job in that movie! She was also fantastic as Al Pacino's troubled step daughter in Heat which came out about a year after The Professional"

I've got to see Garden State soon, and she's one of the reasons.

I think so, too.
Anywhere But Here and Where The Heart Is are two others that I liked. Haven't seen Cold Mountain, but I plan to. She's a very talented actress, in my opinion. :)
