Ralph was expecting like his boss or some big hot shot to come over and he baught all these things(food) for the party. Well, the guy never showed up and Alice was all "Well we better start eating all these things since no one is coming over" or something like that(she said it all sad like) and then he grabbed her and was all "Baby you're the greatest!" Anyone remember that one?! Sorry my memory is so bad...I just loved that ep and have never seen it again.

The episode is titled "Champagne and Caviar" from 11/7/53. The plot involves Mr. Marshall (head of the bus company) who is dropping in on the Kramdens, and Ralph, who desperatley wants a promotion and raise is going to extremes to impress him--he buys champagne, caviar, and expensive cigars. It all backfires though when Marshall announces that the board of directors has been pressuring him into giving his drivers a raise, but now that he sees how well Ralph lives on the $62.00 a week he already pays him, he wants to use Ralph and his gracious life-style as proof that he already pays his drivers enough. Ralph is now shot down (naturally) and Alice finally says..."well, we may as well eat this food as long as it's here" (or words to that effect). Another example of how she could forgive Ralph for his fast-thinking schemes.
