A Mailbu Couple
This sitcom is about a couple who live in Malibu, California. The couple is Tony and Paula Lauderdale (Tony Danza, Suzanne Somers). Tony Lauderdale is a successful former-professional-boxer-now-head chef of his own Italian restaurant. Paula Lauderdale is the very well-known, trophy wife of Tony's. Paula is a former model-singer-actress, who gave up her career of singing and acting after marrying Tony (even though she kept modeling until she turned 40). Tony and Paula are married for 25 years now and had a daughter 2 years before getting married. Tony and Paula's 27 year old daughter, Krystle (Traylor Howard) lives in Malibu as well. Krystle is a single parent to 10 year old daughter, Emily (Dakota Fanning). Tony's right-hand man and best friend is Tim Baxter (Tim Allen). Tim lives in Malibu with his wife, Cheryl (Catherine O'Hara), who is good friends with Paula. But what happens when Paula and Cheryl realize they want more out of life instead of being just trophy wives, and they decide to divorce their hubbies. Krystle thinks Paula is not prepared to be out on her own. With Krystle's help, Tony and Tim try to win over their wives again before they do anything drastic (like signing divorce papers).
