I just got back from Beatlefest in NJ :) It was sooo awesome to see my best friend again and all in all we had a great time at the hotel. I took plenty of pics and bought a new Beatles shoulder bag :D I can't wait to get those pics developed. I even managed to bring home $400 (how I didn't impulsively spend it all is BEYOND me!)

Not only that, but Brokeback Mountain is coming to DVD on Tuesday!!!!! :woohoo: :woohoo: I've been looking forward to this for AGES! :D

I found my social security card. It turns out that it wasn't in my purse that was stolen in the armed robbery back on 10/2/2005. :) I just found it in a wallet of mine that I haven't used in awhile. I took it out and put it away. I'm glad that it's one less thing that the two men got. It really concerned me that it was in the purse that was taken. I was looking for something else in the wallet I have here and I came across it. I can't believe I found it. :D

That happened to me when I "lost" my $200 film camera in August 2005, and it wasn't until February 2006 (six months later) when I found it. Oh, man... it was like pure gold. What makes Swedish Meatloaf different than regular?
The Swedes love to use gravies and sauces on their dishes. The recipe had me add some cream of mushroom into the meatloaf. There is a stove-top topping that is prepared mixing cream of mushroom and sour cream until it simmers. When you serve the meatloaf, you top it with the cream and garnish it with slices of cucumber. They also like to use dill as garnishings.

When I was in Sweden, I attended a traditional Swedish BBQ, and they prepared some potato salad. It had sour cream in it, and it was so yummy.

I plan on preparing that bread soup either this evening or tomorrow. I am so curious as to how it tastes like.

By the way, the meatloaf and the topping are soooooooooo delicious for me. I loved it! It won't be the last time I make it. That's for sure. :drool:

I'm in Mexico! It is BEAUTIFUL here. We're staying in Los Barrilles which is about 100 km north of Cabo in a house right on the beach. It's so mellow here, but it's nice. The town is very authentic... I like it.

Yeah, I know what you mean. One thing I didn't realize until recently was that it helps to take aerobics/workout classes taught at your college/university. And, it's convenient because they have showers there, and it's usually not very expensive (especially for local community colleges). So you might wanna look into it. I totally know what you mean about the motivation. I have been telling myself to look into workout/aerobics classes, but I just didn't do it. Then I decided to take it easy this semester and get involved and it was addicting. I say go for it. :)

One of our department's marketing instructors asked if a co-worker and I wanted to review a Marketing textbook for Amazon by answering some questionaire. In return, we get a $25 gift certificate. My eyes lit up! I decided to use it towards the upcoming season 1 and 2 of "The Facts of Life!" It's selling for $27.99 on their site, and I was going to hold off purchasing it because of the money I have spent lately on other things. This made me smile. :D

I have walked a lot this weekend for two charity events - MS (Multiple Sclerosis) for 1.5 miles and Breast Cancer for 5 miles. It was so much fun!! The weather was just lovely this year. Last year it was raining a lot. Lots of sunshine with some partial cloudiness and some light winds - perfect walking weather. I feel good walking a lot. Very healthy.

....and I bought myself a 44 oz. Cherry-Limeade at Sonic's Drive-In for their Happy Hour thing. Mmmmm.... *sips her drink* :D

Wow.... Such a weird Twilight Zone moment for me. I needed to purchase a new set of windshield wipers at a "Checkers" that's just about 1-2 blocks from where I live. Through the path I ALWAYS drive through when I get out of my apartment. As I was paying, the female cashier recognized me, and it took me a few seconds to realize who she was - a really good friend of mine from middle school! Whoa!! What a coincidence!!! Oh, my gosh!! We hadn't seen each other since our 8th grade year in the early 90s!!!! She was ecstatic!! We exchanged phone numbers and plan on hanging out this coming weekend. It's her birthday next Wednesday, so we are gonna catch up!!

I just returned after walking laps around a nearby high school. It's about 2-3 blocks away, and it was so much fun! I've been walking around it a couple of times a week since the last three weeks. I can walk two miles (8 laps) around it. I had my walkman with me and just enjoyed it. Heck... I enjoyed it so much that I tried walking THREE miles! Hahaha... It was nice...but my feet are aching.. Oooo... Gonna soak them for a bit.... But the walk felt good! :D
