The feud between Hilary Duff and Lindsay Lohan has been going on for nearly the past 18 months. As a member of the general public, I want to know from you who's better? Hilary Duff or Lindsay Lohan?

I like Lindsay SO much better than Hilary. She's actually a really, really good actress. I mean Hilary's alright ( I love Lizzie McGuire and the Lizzie McGuire movie.. wow that felt wrong admitting :o ) but anyway, not only is Lindsay a better actress imo but I think she's a better singer too. I like her personality a lot more than Hilary's too... and according to things I've read, Hilary is a little too harsh with her hatred towards Lindsay. I mean, [ not exactly sure if this is true ] but I read that Linday's brother wanted Hilary's boyfriend, Benji of Good Charlotte's, autograph. But she refused to let him give it to him because she found out he was Lindsay's brother or something like that. - shrug -

This thread will just cause a fight. People who like Lindsay will say Lindsay and people who like Hilary will say Hilary. People who don't like either, will just come and say that both are terrible at what they do.
But I prefer Lindsay:D

Well one of the poll questions is 'They are both equally good'.I'd like to add as my opinion that they both equally suck.

Lindsay Lohan. She's a better singer actress and she doesn't have the snobbish quality Hilary has, in my opinion. and one of my friends looks like her :D

*Pleasant Tomorrow*, Are you insane? Why Shirley Temple? This topic is about Hilary Duff and Lindsay Lohan, for Pete's sakes!
Anyhoo, here's more info from The National Enquirer:
Lindsay poked fun at Hilary on "Saturday Night Live" when Amy Poehler portrayed Hilary as “the girl who couldn’t see the bad side of a good apology”
Hilary said, "Sometimes I feel like I really hate Lindsay Lohan" in the October 2004 edition of Blender Magazine.
Lindsay tried to weasel her way into the camera view while Hilary was being interviewed for Entertainment Tonight.
Hilary tried to get Lindsay tossed from the premiere of her film "Cheaper by the Dozen"—and banned from the premiere of her movie "A Cinderella Story."
Lindsay and Hilary scuffled while doing a photo shoot for the July 2003 edition of Vanity Fair magazine.
Lindsay left snotty messages on Hilary's answering machine.
Hilary hung up a dartboard in her Hollywood apartment with Lindsay's face on it.
In the latest flareup, Duff is accused of taking direct aim at Lohan in a song on her self-titled CD. The lyrics for "Haters" includes these lines: "You're the queen of superficiality/Keep your lies out of my reality" "and "You say your boyfriend's sweet and kind/But you still got your eyes on mine."
Now with the Z100 Jingle Ball incident happening, I could see this fight scored like a boxing match. As of now, It's...
Hilary Duff: 6.5
Lindsay Lohan: 3.5
...with the Vanity Fair scuffle declared a tie.
Also, the man who started this fight, Aaron Carter, told the press that he actually likes Lindsay and Hilary fighting each other. Weird...

Hillary and Linsey , I do not like either of them, there just to campy for me. I never got in to the now teens singers, but in the 80's I did. I was young, the singers back then can't compare to thes wanna be's. I can't beleive people will buy Hillary's and Linsey's albums. Debbie Gibson and Tiffany still rules.

Oh I'm sorry, I forgot to say. The thing I posted about Hilary/Benji was at Jingle Ball. Z100 sponsors Jingle Ball and I'm pretty sure I heard them announce that Hilary was performing... and that Lindsay was I think guest hosting which explains why her brother would be there.

Since I'm getting good responses, I think I should break this battle down into at least 4 major mini-battles.
Battle A: Since Hilary and Lindsay both were bred from Disney, Which one is a better movie to watch: Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen or The Lizzie McGuire Movie?
Battle B: In the year 2004, both Hilary and Lindsay broke out of the Disney shell with successful movies, Which one had more impact to the American Public: Mean Girls or A Cinderella Story?
Battle C: In the year 2004, both Hilary and Lindsay released albums. Hilary released her sophomore self-titled album, Lindsay released her freshman album, Speak. As of now, each album has one single released to the public. Which one is a bigger hit: Fly or Rumors?
Note: Hilary's biggest hit this year, Come Clean, technically came from her 2003 album Metamorphosis. Though the song would become the theme to the breakout MTV reality drama Laguna Beach, the music video directed by Dave Meyers would be nominated for "Best Pop Video" at the 2004 MTV Video Music Awards (and lose to No Doubt's It's My Life), and end up #24 on MTV's Top 40 Videos of 2004, it doesn't count.
Battle D: Who had more impact in this rivalry: Aaron Carter, Chad Michael Murray, or Benji Madden of Good Charlotte?

Battle A: Since both The Lizzie McGuire Movie and Confessions of A Teenage Drama Queen sucked, I would say neither, but I would prefer Confessions...to LMG.
Battle B: Mean Girls
Battle C: Rumors was defintly more popular
Battle D: Aaron Carter

Note one more thing: Tomorrow night, Lindsay Lohan is co-hosting and performing at MTV's Iced Out New Year's Eve 2005. Last New Year's Eve, Hilary Duff co-hosted and performed on MTV's New Year's Eve Special. On New Year's Day, think about it: Who did a better job of ringing the new year in Times Square?

B. Mean Girls is the greatest movie ever.
C: Rumors.
D. Aaron Carter.

I would like to clear a few things up... In the October 2004 issue of Blender Magazine, this is what Hilary truly felt about Lindsay Lohan:
“The thing is, it’s all so childish and immature. This all started because we both dated Aaron Carter, and she went around telling everybody that I was a horrible person who had stolen her boyfriend. She then got pissed off because I worked with Chad Michael Murray after she had worked with him on Freaky Friday. She called him up and said all these awful things about me, which she then repeated to the press. I don’t think I can take it anymore. It’s so hurtful. Sometimes I feel like I really hate her, which is pretty extreme for me, because I don’t hate anybody. Sometimes, I really feel like Lizzie McGuire. Her alter ego can say anything she wants while Lizzie can’t, and that’s exactly how I feel. If you accept [Lindsay’s version of the story], I’m really jealous of her ’cause she has friends in the industry and likes to go out and party while I stay at home. She’s always trying to spread stories about me, but the funny thing is, I know so many stories about her that I could tell you right now, but I’m not going to, because I don’t think people should know. I don’t want her to get mad at me for telling them. And you know what the funny thing is in all this? I just want us to be friends — that’s all.”
And in an interview on Good Morning America about one year ago, this is what Lindsay felt about Hilary Duff:
“I’m a fan of hers. My sister loves her. I just wanted to let her know I have no problems and neither should she. We were friends...
...It is the reason why I wanted to finish high school early because it is what you have to deal with in high school. When you are working and stuff, the last thing you want to read is someone doesn’t like you. Let it go, you know what I mean? I just wanted to clear it up.”
I'd also like to clear up about the song "Haters". In a feature with MTVNews.com, this is what Hilary was meaning to tell on "Haters":
"I love the song. I wrote it, it was my idea. I think at the time I was feeling like I had to talk so much about my personal life because people make accusations and there are lies and rumors constantly. I think that song really just came to me because I was feeling like people are so negative. They love to read what's coming out next on Page Six [of the New York Post] and I just felt like it was appropriate. I also felt like normal girls could relate to that, what with school and how people backstab each other and talk bad about each other and how much petty stuff goes on. Talk about exterminating, not the haters, just the hating. Honestly, the stuff with Lindsay Lohan...I don't know her. I've met her like, two or three times in real life. It just seems like every single time that I'm at the same place she is, a new article comes out. I once said she left nasty messages on my answering machine, which is 100 percent true, and she said something like, ‘Oh, that girl's got a creative imagination.’ Like, where would I come up with something like that? Do they think that I'm schizo or something to make up something like that? I'm thinking to myself how much easier it would be if we could all just be friends — friendly acquaintances. I don't hold grudges. I don't like all the drama that goes on. It's like, we can't be normal people anymore, because people always watch what we're doing and you can never show how you feel because if you have one bad day or you don't feel like smiling and being all bubbly and energetic, you read in the paper the next day what a brat you are."
The feud may be "So Yesterday", but at least it won't be as big as the Boston Red Sox and the New York Yankees...

I don't think so. Honestly, she just doesn't feel comfortable telling false rumors about Lindsay. I also think that she's not comfortble letting go of the all-American good girl image that made her famous. Look at Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera. Back in 1999, they WERE good girls. But as time went on...they both let go of the good-girl image that made them both famous. Lindsay has already shed that image ever since Confessions was released. Maybe Hilary will start letting go of that image within the next 36 months.

I also want to make something else clear...In the same MTVNews.com feature posted earlier, this is what Hilary felt about the "good girl, America's Sweetheart" image and the troubles about growing up:
"In some magazines, they almost want me to deny what I am, and I never do that because I really am comfortable with myself. I am a good girl. I'm not going to try to prove to anybody else that I'm not this clean-cut type of person, because I am. I'm not crazy out there partying all the time. When I have time off, I like to go out to clubs sometimes, but that's not a 'bad girl' thing to do, that's just fun. And I definitely don't dress in turtlenecks, but because I don't take my clothes off and show everything I have doesn't mean that I'm not a grown-up. Certain artists my age who are going through this phase of not wanting a younger audience or not wanting people their age to like them or trying to get a more male-oriented audience will take their clothes off, and I definitely don't think that's a sign of maturity, but I also think that if they feel comfortable doing stuff like that, then more power to them.
Because of the business that I'm in, I've definitely grown up a little bit faster. I don't know if I really feel the same emotions as a regular 17-year-old, like I'm mad at the world or people don't understand or I hate my parents. I don't feel those things. I feel other things. Sometimes I cry because I'll be so overwhelmed with all the stuff that I have to do, but with my job I get some incredible things that other people might not experience, so I try not to take things too seriously."

Lindsay longs for the mistreated boy next door. She watches him through windows. But as the song's title suggests, their love can't be — so she has to be satisfied with finding her inner rock chick instead.
The video is a take on the 1999 Academy-Award winning film "American Beauty". Lindsay's love interest is Drew Fuller from "Charmed." The video is slated to be released later this month to early February.

they both equally suck.
If I had to choose, I'd say Lindsay's acting is a little better and Hilary's music is more enjoyable. Still don't like em.

This thread will just cause a fight. People who like Lindsay will say Lindsay and people who like Hilary will say Hilary. People who don't like either, will just come and say that both are terrible at what they do.
They are both terrible at what they do.
But truth be told, if Hilary had a rack as big as Lindsay Lohan and flaunted it the way she does, all the horned up boys would pick her.
