Neil Diamond is a wonderful singer, and I love all of his songs. My favorite would be 'Solitary Man'.
'September Morn' was good too as was his duet with Barbra Streisand, 'You Don't Bring Me Flowers'.

Barbra Streisand and Neil Diamond went together like cookies and milk, so much so that when Babs duetted with Barry Gibb in 1980, she joked that she felt like she was "cheating" on Neil Diamond!
Ironically, Neil and Babs never recorded "You Don't Bring Me Flowers" together in the studio. Their duet record is a melding of their two separate recordings of the same song; it was only concocted by Columbia when a DJ in Cleveland or Miami (something like this always starts with a DJ in one of those cities! ) suggested the idea.

I thought they had sang together in the studio on that one after the dj spliced together the duet. They sang it live on the grammies in 1980 and brought the house down even though it was an old song by that time.

Hmm, you could be right. That would mean there are two duet versions, the "spliced" version and the "proper" one. I'd have to look into that, but as I said, you're probably correct. :)
