Ep33: Today Is A Bad Day:
Sandy and Kirsten learns Caleb has had an affair with the neighbor lady, while Julie and Marissa were visiting Kaitlin (Brie Larsen) in boarding school. Caleb tells Julie about his affair. Julie is furious and kicks Caleb out of the house. Marissa learns DJ is quitting and leaving Marissa behind. Seth learns Summer is debating about dumping Zach, as Summer tells Zach that she'd rather not be tied down at the moment.

Ep34: Moving Out:
After Caleb is kicked out, he is forced to move back in with Kirsten and Sandy. But a week later, after his trial, he is sent to jail for 5 years. Kirsten takes the news hard, and Sandy convinces Julie to say good-bye to Caleb before he goes to jail. Julie files for a divorce. Seth forms a bond with his new co-worker, Alex. Ryan and Lindsay end up getting into a heated debate and resulting in the two sharing a passionate kiss-which shocks EVERYONE-especially Marissa.

Ep35: Julie And Jimmy-Back Together?:
Jimmy invites Julie and Marissa over for dinner. Marissa spends the whole night confused about Ryan. Jimmy tells Julie and Marissa, he sold the yacht and is moving back into their former home next door to the Cohens. Julie and Jimmy put their past behind each other and try to work out their differences. Seth takes Summer to a concert at the Bait Shop, where Seth is torn between Summer and Alex. Lindsay confesses to Ryan-she just wants to be friends. Ryan accepts Lindsay's suggestion to just be friends.

Ep36: Couples Therapy:
Jimmy and Julie have an affair, but fear if they go back to living together-they will still have as many problems as before. Jimmy and Julie sign up and attend couples therapy, but the real shocker is Sandy and Kirsten are also taking therapy too. Marissa learns Ryan is now single again, as Ryan learns Marissa is happy that he isn't dating Lindsay anymore.

Ep37: Shut Up Already:
Marissa walks in on Julie and Jimmy in the shower together. They share the news to their daughter that they are back together. Summer asks Seth out on a date, after Zach discovers his own feelings for Lindsay, who wants nothing to do with him. Sandy decides to give up on helping Caleb.

Ep38: Moving Out:
Julie and Marissa move out of their and Caleb's house, and back into their old house with Jimmy next-door to the Cohens. Seth and Summer share a passionate and fiery kiss one night up in Seth's room, but is caught by Kirsten-who doesn't want girls upstairs in his room alone (with the door shut). Kirsten freaks out like crazy-thinking Seth and Summer have "done it", but Sandy and Ryan come to Seth and Summer's defense.

Ep39: DIVORCED FOR GOOD:
Julie files for divorce to Caleb on the same day as Jimmy proposes to her. Marissa has mixed feelings about her parents getting remarried. Ryan and Marissa are asked to join Seth and Summer on a "double date" to the movies. During the double date, Marissa's purse gets stolen. Ryan and Seth run after the mugger, Seth takes the purse from him as Ryan beats the mugger up for stealing Marissa's purse. Marissa is thrilled that Ryan came to her rescue-she decides to repay him by giving him a kiss.

Ep40: Big Babies And Then Some:
Julie learns she is pregnant with Jimmy's kid. Julie tells Jimmy, Marissa, the Cohens, Ryan, and Summer. They each discuss their feelings and opinions about Julie's pregnancy. Meanwhile, Seth mopes about Marissa not showing her appreciation for assisting Ryan when she got mugged that other night.
