I'm not good with Ratings, is that good or bad?

It's not amazing, but it's good.

Actually, it's pretty lousy, getting roughly half the viewers that "Friends" got at this time last year. NBC knew there would be erosion, but 50% erosion was not expected. Already, there's talk of major retooling if the show is renewed for a second season.

But NBC as a network is down. By their current standards, it's doing great. Ranking 7th for the night isn't bad; it's pretty respectable.
You've heard rumors of a retooling? I haven't heard anything about this. I know talks for season two are in the works, but that's all.
The show needs major retooling. I can't even figure out why Andrea Anders is here, but it certainly can't be because she brings anything to the table.
The only way to make "Joey's" ratings look "good" is to grade on a curve that includes their other four new series. Barely keeping half of "Friends" audience is bad enough (NBC were anticipating 2/3rds to 3/4ths retention), but then getting built on by 6% in the 18-49 demo by your lead-out (as happened this past Thursday) is really bad.
It is second in its time slot, but it's clear it's never going to challenge "Survivor" in any capacity. The good news for "Joey" is, there isn't anything other than the World Series and maybe an "American Idol" special that's going to challenge it for second.
