Family Matters and Cosby Show-Equally Entertaining?

I would say they are because I ike the same amount of characters in each show. On the Cosby Show, I like Theo, Cockroach and Kenny and on Family Matters i was a fan of Eddie, Carl, and Waldo. So i think both shows are equally entertaining.

I agree that both shows are entertaining,but for me,Family Matters is a funnier show,and there's no character on the Cosby Show who could compare to Urkel.He's a riot.

The visiting grandparents were the worse..I especially could not stand the actor who played Cliff's father...

Hmmm... Family Matters is a sillier and cornier sort of show so I would say it is less entertaining in a sense...Cosby Show aspires to be something more and doesn't have farfetched plots like cloning storylines. It's hard to say because Cosby has been so overplayed that I would almost prefer to see FM even though to me FM is not as good a series.

I find TCS much more entertaining.... but I still like FM a lot.

Family Matters, no one can top Steve Urkel IMO. Cosby Show had it's funny moments though.

Cosby Show never did like Family Matters

Both of these shows annoyed me. I couldn't stand Urkel. That first season of Family Matters was actually good without him. When it started focusing around him, it took a turn for the worse. It should have been called Urkel, or they should have spun his nerdy ass off. Cosby was ok the first 2 or 3 years, but they got on my nerves because they were too damn perfect. I think the most serious thing that happened was that Vanessa got drunk with her friends. Wooa!

To me both shows were entertaining and portrayed black families in a postive light. They were funny yet managed to highlight everyday issues that go on in society.

The Cosby Show and Family Matters are definately apart of television history.


I think it would've been cool if The Huxtables met the Winslows.

I personally think that The Cosby Show is a better written show, and it has a better sense of humor... but Family Matters is still funny too

well, I agree about Cosby. Let's face it, it WAS a better show than Family Matters. FM was cute and funny in it's own right but it got preposterous by the time Urkel was using time machines and being "Stefan Urquelle" and the sort

To me the Cosby Show was more entertaining. Vanessa, Sondra and Elvin were the only characters I didn't really like.
