I absolutely love this show, but unfortunately it's on the chopping block, like all of ABC's Friday series. The ratings seem to be getting worse and worse. ABC should have kept it on Tuesdays at 9pm where it did a better job of holding "Jim"s audience than "Rodney"s doing. Maybe, hopefully, ABC will come to their senses and move the show back.

I certainly hope Less than Perfect and 8 Simple Rules can make a 4th season for a syndication deal. I see perhaps moving them to different nights. As for Complete Savages, I say its gone by December, and I have read that Hope and Faith lost more viewers this year than any other returning show, I say it completes Season 2, but gets the cancelled after 2 seasons just like Life With Bonnie.

i hope LTP gets another season and move's timeslots.
ABC needs to go back to basics with TGIF, bring in someone from 'Disney Channel' and make a younger series for the 8pm slot, bring in old TGIF producers lol, and if 9:30 is such a killer just air an rerun of the 8pm or 8:30pm series at that slot...lol
oh well, it's sad that its on the "chopping block", especially when "Entertainment Weekly"'s "ask the critic" complimented this season..... =/

ABC needs to understand that Friday nights are always low rated and judge the show's rating based on that. I know back in the day Fridays did well, but I don't think any show would do great on Friday nights anymore. Look at "Everybody Loves Raymond". It was on Fridays when it debuted and was almost cancelled due to low ratings. They moved it to Mondays and it's one of the top ten programs (ratings-wise) today.
I like TGIF this season (minus Hope & Faith). I hope the three other shows come back next season.

ABC should have added three new sitcoms this fall. That Jessica Simpson sitcom would have lured an audience I think. That would have been perfect for Fridays.
Rodney is doing excellent on Tuesdays, so I think it will stay. I think ABC should try a sitcom hour on Thursdays at 8pm. NBC is losing steam then, and ABC should try something. Maybe My Wife & Kids at 8pm followed by Less Than Perfect? And then Extreme Makeover at 9pm, which did better last year at that time than this year's 8pm.
Tuesdays I guess would have GLo starting it off, followed by a new sitcom (maybe John Stamos), then Jim and Rodney.
TGIF would have 8 Simple Rules, Jennifer Love Hewitt or Savages, Hope & Faith, followed by a new sitcom.

I would rather have ABC move LTP back to Tuesdays after According to Jim before I'd have them cancel it, it's a show with alot of potential.
Alot of people say it's "too old" or "too sophisticated" for TGIF. Then other people say that they like it on Friday cause it's a better time to get to see it.
I wanna see the whole TGIF return next year, but LTP and Complete Savages the most

The point above about Fridays being low rated are correct, but the whole TGIF line-up is off dramatically from last season. This is the problem.
I've always said that ABC should go for sitcoms on Thursday. With NBC struggling and 8-10pm only drawing 5 million viewers on ABC, sitcoms can do better for sure, especially the right shows. Despite what people may think of Joey on here, it's not a hit, and it's not a tough show to go against. The OC is also losing audience on the night, so I think there is an audience there that ABC should go after. It clearly can't sit on Thursdays all season, nor Fridays, they're both ruining the momentum that ABC in building in its line-up.
That said, I really, really want LTP to come back. Rodney is getting better and better on Tuesday, so that's not an option. But MWK is losing major steam on Tuesdays, so I think that, as Pav said, ABC should just move it to Thursdays and see what it will do.
At any rate, what has ABC got to lose? It can't do any worse on Thursday or Friday than it is doing, and this'll probably be the last season for MWK anyway as it's sliding fast (wait until it faces American Idol) and it's going into syndication next year.
I just saw "In the Game," the Jennifer Love Hewitt/Ed O'Neill thing. ACK. Gabe Sachs and Jeff Judah must be blackmailing Steve McPherson or Anne Sweeney.
I can see all 6 of ABC's returning sitcoms being renewed and all 4 of the new ones being canned. Of the returning ones, "LtP" is the most expendable, unfortunately. "According to Jim" is the only real hit comedy they have. TGIF can be saved, but not with "8SR" in the opening spot. It's killing the first hour, and possibly the entire night.

ABC could get #2 on Thursdays if they tried.
Like someone said, LTP and some other sitcom? :)

I think number two is a stretch (right now the margin between second place ABC and NBC is 9 million viewers), but if they could even cut that to 7 million viewers...
