Hope and Faith has lost more viewers than any other returning series in the same time slot. This can not be good for long term possibilities.

It's doing quite well thank you very much. Sorry!
This was the news and ratings from this past week.
"Hope & Faith" (9:00-9:30 p.m.)
Building 26% on its lead, "Hope & Faith" won its half-hour among
Adults 18-49 (2.9/8). The show also took first place in the time
period among Adults 18-34 (2.2/8) and Teens 12-17 (2.3/9). In
fact, "Hope & Faith" stood as the No. 1 TV broadcast of the evening among Teens.
* "Hope & Faith" produced its largest audience in the half-hour in
more than 9 months (8.2 million) and delivered its top Adult 18-49
rating in the slot since April - since 2/6/04 and 4/30/04,
respectively.

H&F is not doing that well. Along with the rest of the TGIF line-up, ratings have taken a big nosedive from last season. It's stabilized in recent weeks at around 8mil viewers, which will probably get it a renewal, if these levels hold.
Up to last week, it was drawing an average of 7.1mil viewers in 69th place, down 26% from last season. In adults, it ranks 66th with a 2.6 rating, down 27%. It could be worse. 8 simple Rules is down 70% in both categories.

Actually out of all of ABC's comedies, it is one of the only two that has been ordered additional episodes. It also is second in demos.

Basically because it is ABC's highest rated Friday sitcom. But don't fool yourself into thinking it's doing well.

Actually J&F is doing well because it always builds on its lead-in, and sometimes that more important than being the #1 show... and if its doing good in Teens then its fine, networks look to the teen market for a lot its the most coveted demo.
