"More Than Sisters" starring Jennifer Coolidge and Lisa Ann Walter as grown sisters in their thirties. Jennifer Coolidge plays Bobbie Reynolds, and Lisa Ann Walter plays Debbie Reynolds-Burke. Bobbie and Debbie live in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Bobbie, 38, is a single mother of a rebellious 17 year old daughter, Alicia "Ally" Reynolds (Evan Rachel Wood). Bobbie's ex-boyfriend/Ally's dad left Bobbie when she was 7 months pregnant with Ally. Ally never met her father and has no intention on knowing about him. Bobbie and Ally live with Debbie and her family. Debbie and her husband took in a pregnant Bobbie a month after they married. Debbie and Eric got married in April 1986, they bought their house a month later; Bobbie's ex-boyfriend left a 7 month pregnant Bobbie in January 1987, two weeks after he left-Debbie and Eric took Bobbie in (by this time, Eric and Debbie have 2 month old twins). Debbie, 37, is happily married to Eric Burke (Eric McCormack), 37. Debbie and Eric have twin 17 year olds: Tori Burke (Hilary Duff) and Jason Burke (Jesse McCartney). Tori, Jason, and Ally are all juniors in high school. Ally is more rebellious and opinionated, Tori is more girly and loves fashion (and guys), and Jason is more athletic and loves cars (and girls). Debbie and Bobbie both work at a small beauty salon at the mall. Eric is an accountant, who works hard for the big bucks that he racks in for his family. Bobbie and Debbie's mother lives on the other side of town and frequently dropped by (not always at the best times, or when her girls wanted to her drop by). Their mom, Pam (Jaclyn Smith) is a widow, who re-entering the dating world, by dating steadily a guy her daughters' ages. Pam's new much younger boyfriend, Tim Blanchette (John Stamos) happens to be a classmate of Eric's from high school. Tim and Eric reconnect and become best of friends again.

EPISODES


Ep1: Pilot (a.k.a. The Anniversary):
Debbie and Eric celebrate their 18th wedding anniversary. Meanwhile, Bobbie mopes around thinking she will never find a man to marry.

Ep2: Tori's Story:
Tori must write a short story for her Creative Writing class. Tori has writer's block, until she thinks of writing her story based on her Aunt Bobbie and Cousin Ally and their lives. Even though, she changes the names, the family still knows who is it about. Bobbie and Ally, especially Ally is furious that Tori wrote that story.

Ep3: Grandma Pam And Her Boytoy:
Pam arrives with news of her new boyfriend, Tim, moving into her house. Pam and Tim's new relationship is a shocked to Bobbie, Debbie, Eric, and the kids. Eric realizes he and Tim went to high school together. Bobbie and Debbie think Pam is crazy for having a boyfriend old enough to be her son.

Ep4: Dating 'Em Young:
Tori is caught flirting with an eighth grade hottie at a football game. Gossip spreads about Tori and her young 'friend' around school. Rumors start about how Tori and her young 'friend' did the nasty. Tori is mortified, as Jason is furious. Jason is on a mission to find out who started the rumor--it was the 8th grader.

Ep5: Drinking Buddies:
Eric and Tim go to the bars for a few drinks, they end up having WAY too much to drink and need a designated driver. Eric calls home (but Bobbie, Debbie, and Tori are at Pam's, Jason's at a friend's house, Ally's home alone). Ally receives Eric's phone call home. Ally takes her mom's car to the bar, picks up her uncle and grandma's b/f. Ally gets pulled over for running a red light and gets a ticket for not having her passengers (the men) in seatbelts. Ally drives the men over to Pam's and tells her aunt and grandma what happened.

Ep6: Men Only Weekend:
Eric and Jason invite Tim to come along with them on their annual males-only camping trip up north. The men can't remember where they parked the car though when they are ready to leave. Back at home, Bobbie and Debbie go through some old photo albums from their childhood from Pam's attic. Ally and Tori put their differences behind and attempt to bond together by going to a movie. But Ally wants to see a Drama and Tori wants to see a Romantic Comedy.

Ep7: Twice That Presents:
It's the twins' birthday. Debbie wants to have a party for their 17th birthday. Tori and Jason feel they just want to hangout with their friends instead of with their family. Ally becomes upset with her cousins due to them not caring about Debbie's feelings, unlike Debbie, Bobbie never really has thrown her a birthday party since she turned 10.

Ep8: Pammy's Secret:
Pam's secret gets out to her family about her having a 5 year secret love affair with the next-door single neighbor man while she was still married to the girls's father. Debbie and Bobbie aren't happy with what Pam did. Tim fears that Pam may be cheating on him too, Pam confesses she isn't cheating on Tim and that her affair with the neighbor (which was 10 years ago) didn't mean anything to her.

Ep9: Big Test:
While Tori and Ally cram for a huge Chemistry test, Debbie puts Eric to a test by asking him if he remembers what she was wearing when he proposed to her. Eric claims he knows, but ends up trying and trying to think, but has no such luck. Bobbie meets a man, Steve. Bobbie and Steve go out for drinks, while on the "date" the two develop feelings for each other.

Ep10: Steve's Truth Comes Out:
Steve confesses to Bobbie after they both have spent the night together, that he is actually not divorced, but is getting separated. Bobbie ends up feeling dirty and runs out on Steve, and is very embarrassed to explain to Ally, Debbie, Pam, and the others about Steve. Eric gets Tim a job, after Tim gets laid off.
