10. You not only know all the words to Family's "Holding the Compass," you know the verse that was discarded before the song was properly released.

9. You laugh when you watch the "As Time Goes By" episode when someone mistakes Judi Dench's character for Cilla Black, and you laugh even harder when that mistaken woman belts out a chorus of "Step Inside Love" because you know the song's history as well as Cilla's. :)

8. You have an advantage over others in a music trivia game.

7. You get what George Harrison meant on the Beatles's Anthology 3 version of "I Me Mine" when he refers to Dave Dee, Micky and Tich.

6. You can be an authority on Steve Harley's work without actually having heard much of it.

5. You have a way to impress British girls living in America!

4. You know you're the first on your block to have a Roger Chapman tour T-shirt.

3. You feel special because you and you alone are the only person you know who has heard all of Family's work, including five different versions of "The Weaver's Answer."

2. You never have to worry about classic rock radio playing any of these songs to death.

And the number one good thing about enjoying British pop acts virtually unheard of in America. . . you know you'll never hear any of their songs turned to into jingles to sell orange soda or SUV's! :)

(Is there a bad thing about enjoying these acts? Yes - you know they'll probably never get into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Hey, life isn't perfect!)
