I am so glad Colin and Christie lost....that submissive bitch didn't deserve the money anyway. I wouldn't have minded if Brandon and Nicole won, but I am ecstatic that Chip and Kim won. They were the team I was pulling for (Along with the Bowling Moms) so everything worked out great. Big Brother was such a dissapointment this year...but The Amazing Race was....well, amazing. No pun intended. :p

That was the BEST FINALE EVER. Probably one the the best episodes of a reality show EVER, if not the BEST. I was so sad to see the moms go, but the sheer excilleration of the episode kept me on the edge of the coach for two straight hours. I was actually on the floor right in front of the tv for the final race through Dallas. I'm not ashamed to admit that I was actually in tears when K&C won. I didn't think they would, but I've want them or the bowling moms ever since Charla and Mirna got Philiminated.
KIM & CHIP!!!!
Now we await the sixth season, which CBS'll hopefully put in a much better timeslot.

Are you in MDT as well? I was just wondering, since you didn't post until now.

Chip and Kim have set a milestone, they are the first black team to win this race.
Brandon and Nichole seemed a little bitter about being lied to about the flag. Nichole, you are absolutely right; there is such a thing as Karma. I seem to remember you helping to withhold information from Mirna and Charla at the airport in Egypt.
Collin, get some anger management therapy. Seriously, did anyone else get the impression that he hits Christy; he is clearly abusive.
I think the new season of the race is actually supposed to start in two weeks. Although there is a problem with the advertisement on the CBS site. It has October 2 as the start date, but lists it as being a Thursday. I guess we just watch and see next week.
Who here thinks it might be time for Amazing Race All-Stars? The race is not nearly as predictable as Survivor, so I think it might actually be a good idea here. I can fill up the spaces already.
Kevin/Drew (season 1)
Rob/Brennan (season 1 winners)
Danny/Oswald (season 2)
Flo/Zack (season 3 winners, first mixed team to win the race)
Shola/Doyin (season 2)
Chip/Kim (season 5 winners, first black team to win the race)
Mirna/Charla (season 5)
Chip/Reichan (season 4 winners, first gay couple to win the race)
Linda/Karen (season 5)
Collin/Christy (season 5)
Jon/Al (season 4)

The Amazing Race 6 will air on Saturdays at 8pm ET. The premiere has been delayed until further notice. It's not starting on October 2nd as far as I know.
BTW: Colin proposed to Christie on the Early Show this morning.

CBS has indefinitely postponed the premiere of TAR 6 not because of bad ratings, but because of good ratings! It's a great time to be a TAR fan!!!!
The consensus is that CBS will not air the show on Saturdays as it's just too strong for that now. It was drawing double the timeslot average of "Judging Amy" from last season in adults, and very similar numbers in viewers. Putting the show on Saturday would kill it, which is why CBS is holding off, trying to find a good timeslot for the show. My guess is that CBS will keep the show on Tuesdays at 10pm and either move Judging Amy up an hour should "Clubhouse" fail, or move Amy to Saturdays at 10pm. JA is getting up there in years and viewership is declining, so it would be a good move. Were CBS to air TAR at 9pm (to attract a family audience- because this is really one of the few family appropriate reality series), it would be best off to develop another reality series for 10pm or a younger-skewing drama. "TAR" is a young viewer weapon for CBS and it has to use it properly because it only really has two of these- the "CSI" franchise and "Survivor." Logically, it could afford to let "TAR"s audience be diminished on Saturdays because the eye is SO STRONG all over, but they know it would be wasting the momentum the show has built, momentum which a show like "Amy" doesn't have.
The bottom line? Clear out your Tuesday calanders- TAR 6 will likely start in November.
Isn't this great? Our show is finally pushing other shows around!

THAT IS WONDERFUL!!!
When the high ratings came out back in July... I said "If they put it on Saturdays this Fall, it'll be doomed" because I know that's the lowest-rated night of the week.

I am glad Chip and Kim won. Colin and Christie would have fought over it or blown it. Brandon and Nicole probably did good with the money. I felt bad for Karen getting stuck on those ropes. They were ahead of Colin and Christie.
