I've heard that it is tougher to get into SDSU nowadays than in the past. I call it my "long-shot" target. CSUF is my prime target.

They didn't hold back in the 70s, nor did they have "fancy" special effects like CGI. Of course nothing's going to scare you now if you see a movie made 20+ years ago, not the way it would have had you not grown up on Scream. I don't mean to generalize, nor do I mean to insult.. but her telling me that the remake of TCM was scarier than the original? Come on now.

It really is, and she's 27 so it's not like she hasn't seen a lot of the earlier "classics." I can't believe the remake would be scarier, have more bite. The original was grainy and had a docu feel to it, it was like you were right there with them. No, they can't - not by a long shot. That's what mine tell me, and I believe it. When I take a shower, I always think of Norman. I always pull back the curtains to make sure noone's there.

The only scene of Psycho that I have ever seen was the famous "shower sequence." In fact, that was the scene I presented for the final in my Cinema class. I worked with a group and I watched it ad nauseum getting each shot and writing down notes. There are 52 or 53 shots in that sequence and it took over 2 hours of pausing, rewinding, fast-forwarding, viewing in slow motion, etc.

I toss in two bananas, about a cup or so of frozen strawberries...then I break out the low fat Dannon vanilla yogurt and use about 1/3 of the tub of yogurt...pour in about 1/4 cup of milk (I don't measure) then I blend...

Orange Julius is my place of choice. OMG...I am OBSESSED with their tripleberry smoothie. I get it practically every time I go to the mall. :liplick: I've been getting it since they first introduced that flavor in early 2002.

Orange Julius is hooked on with our Dairy Queen & when I go in intending to get a smoothie, I manage to somehow walk out with a six-piece buffalo chicken strip basket  So that's why I go to Smoothie King for my smoothies lol

 the only Orange Julius we have here is in the mall and they also have Karamelkorn...I don't know if yours has that too...but OJ/KK has been in the mall since the 80's. They've changed locations quite a few times, tho.

Why do they have to release newer shows first? They should be giving shows like Lois and Clark, Mama's Family, etc their proper respect FIRST.

OMG....it was SO funny. At lunch...We talk about the WEIRDEST things, right? We were talking about birthdays. I'd finished explaining to her about the Madonna schtick I give to everybody else... then we were talking about when we were originally due to be born. She started telling me about somebody she knew a long time ago that gave birth to twins. One was born just before midnight and the other one was born a half-minute later, just after midnight.
Because of that, one twin was one grade ahead of the other twin. The school administration would NOT make an exception. Now THAT sucked.
