Yikes... an explosion is bad enough; but a nuclear explosion is worse

I wonder if this will hit networks?

CTV NewsNet is covering it now. It's a telphone interview from Seoul.

I suspect it's the government testing again. If they don't watch it we're going to do something for real. It's getting really old. Maybe one of the bombs will misfire and hit Kim Jong Il.

I don't know why the US networks are not covering this. But according to CTV NewsNet, It was not a nuclear test... No fall out has been detected.
They say it was the equivalent to 1000 tons of TNT. A Russian satlellite discovered a large crater in North Korea, but no radation has been detected. I guess that is what it was.

The U.S. government is saying it's not a test and may only be a forest fire.

OK... but what caused the crater?

Nobody knows yet. But it's definately not a forest fire. Forest fires don't cause mushroom clouds 2 miles high. No new information from CTV NewsNet yet either. I'll keep an eye on that station for more info.

:D :p

I doubt anything like that will happen. If nobody has tried anything before, nobody is going to try anything now.

In any case, I'm not going to make a political arguement over this. I just want to know what caused the explostion in the first place.

I was hoping Hurricane Ivan would kill Castro but it looks like it will miss Havana.

They don't believe it was a nuclear bomb. It was a large conventional bomb similar to the one that was detonated in Florida a few years ago.
