First you have these annoying, ungrateful brats that more knowledge in their pea brains than a smashed snail
Second, you have these Bitter ass-holes, that cannot say anything nice about anything, or anybody

SITCOMSONLINE SUCKS....

The bitter ass holes.. yeah, I'm feelin' ya there. Tara, not that this will help you to calm down or feel better but this is precisely what I was talking about in my letter. If I paid attention to every one of them, I'd be very unhappy and you wouldn't see me posting much at all. It pisses me off to no end when I let it get to me. The in-your-face rude behavior especially. I concentrate most of my attention on all of you in this thread and with having fun. A hell of a lot more important than some turd who could care less about what others have to say.. or how they feel.

I've been here for over three years and I can say that SO has always been run by 11-14 year olds at some point. Karly, Sarah, KT, Sitcomwriter, Caitlin (Babes_Cat), Sean Snow, JT, and a member named callmetootie were around 11 or 12 years old when they first started going here. It's a cycle, in a way. As the once early teens grow up, a new batch of them come in.

You really can't because then you might as well not be here. I try my very best to be myself, to be polite and nice and friendly.. when what I'd really like to do is serve a few people a taste of their own medicine - sometimes. It wouldn't do any good and I'd be wasting my energy so I just move on, and remember why I came here in the first place.

Yep, that's how it seems to be at most boards I visit.

I was 13 when I started visiting message boards in 1998. I was 14 when I moderated my first message board in 1999. I never really thought of it that way...

Speaking as a moderator, I'm not the type who would close a thread too soon. You don't just go into a thread with heated arguments and lock it. Whenever a fight springs up in a thread, most of the time it occurs in a legitimate topic. If I had my own message boards, I wouldn't want a moderator closing threads left and right. I really only close threads as a last resort (unless it is political or obviously violative of the SO Terms of Use). Whenever something comes up, I edit the posts and give a warning. I moderate the board. I never like locking legit topics.

 One of the easiest ways a person can get disliked around here is if you disrespect those that have been posting in here long before that individual has. If someone complains about me or verbally attacks me, I know that there will be people who stick up for me. It's one of those things that has kept me at SO for as long as I've been here.

Who needs deletion? If someone gives you a hard time just move it to the Lizzie Mcguire board and make it TF's problem. Thats what i do! :)

Yeah, I've had to lock MAAAAAAAYBE 5 threads on the MF board since I started modding it in September 2003. I had to referee a fight over there not too long after I started modding it...but I didn't lock the thread. I just told the posters to take it to PM's, and that thread is still open to this day.

I used to be a cryer. Now I'm a fighter. There have been times where someone has been yelling at me and I felt like verablly abusing them back. A school counselor called it "fight or flight mode."

I'll never forget the day me, TF And Crystal basically played pass with a thread and kept passing it on from each board we moderate, Then we'd keep cloning it and combining it and whatnot until it eventually became the biggest thread in SO History. "JANE....STOP THIS CRAZY THREAD!".

The funny thing about that is its the biggest thread on SO With about 15,000 Posts....Yet it was made about an hour before it was clsoed.

Go into a thread that you want to hide and go to the Admin Options thing at the bottom of that page. There should be a thing that says "Edit Thread". Go into that, and there'll be an option where you can UNcheck the box that says "Show Thread". When you uncheck that box, the thread disappears from the thread list, but it's still there.

ALEKSANDER TO LEAVE GL

The Light has gone out for Grant Aleksander. Guiding Light has confirmed that the daytime vet will exit the role of Phillip Spaulding in the near future. According to a show rep, the departure is story-line dictated.

"For the next few months, Grant will be featured in a riveting story line that will keep the Cooper and Spaulding families in the forefront well into the new year," states Procter & Gamble executive Mickey Dwyer-Dobbin. "Grant's gifted portrayal of this complex character is guaranteed to entertain our audience, as Grant has done for many years on Guiding Light."

Assuming the role of Phillip in 1982, Aleksander played the part on and off over the last two decades. His most recent stint started in 1996. Sources state that Aleksander was notified of his impending exit late last Friday, and hint that GL is planning a dramatic exit for the character. The role will not be recast.

I haven't watched the show on a regular basis like I used to but I definately liked him.. and this is absolutely asenine. Why do they insist on getting rid of established characters.. characters that have been a favorite forever? Just so they can bring in younger actors, I'd say.
