Well she was only 37 when she dropped dead. The rest of them were old when they checked out. One of my English teachers died in her sleep on a plane flying out of state to visit her daughter.

Funny story:
I remember my senior year, my algebra teacher turned 40...I was SOOOOOO shocked...If you had seen her for the first time, you wouldn't even have thought she was 40...she looked 30. It was a really big deal when she turned 40. Several of the other teachers at school made literally hundreds of sheets of paper that said "40" in really big letters and in different fonts, too and they put 'em on the walls all over school, plus in her classroom. So her room was flooded with those sheets of paper with "40" on them when I went to her class that day.

Another funny story about algebra class from my senior year.
OK, did you guys ever have those canned food drives when you guys were in HS? You'd donate canned foods to the boxes they had in any one of your classes.
My algebra teacher made the mistake of telling us that if we brought in 10 or more cans of food, we would get 10 bonus points (but no more than 10. If you brought in 20, you still got only 10 bonus points). Well, everybody AND their mom brought in canned foods. Some kids even brought in 100 cans. The canned food drive went on for the whole month, I think, and by the end of that month, she had enough canned food to literally build a whole decent-sized castle kingdom...and that's exactly what we did.

Not much of a story there, she was going to VA (from WV) to visit with her daughter. She got on the plane & was sleepy I guess & took what turned into an eternal nap. When the plain arrived in Richmond, VA her daughter was at the airport to pick her up. Everybody else came walking off the plane except poor Ms. Watson who was rolled off & right past her daughter who was too busy looking for Ms. Watson to walk off any minute. The body was on its way back to WV when her daughter finally found out what happened. She was like 86, so she had a long life. I cut her grass for her while I was in high school (she was my 9th grade english teacher). She used to fall asleep in class ALL the time, so it came as no surprise to me that she died in her sleep lol

There were many kids in my class whose parents/aunts/uncles were teachers at the schools I went to. My senior year algebra teacher had two kids that were both in high school when I was in her class- her son was in 10th grade and her daughter was in 9th when I was a senior. Now they're in the 11th and 12th grades, respectively. My algebra teacher also had a husband that was also a math teacher...I felt sorry for her kids, there was just no way they could get away from their parents at school

I think by the time we were done having the drive, she had about 1,000-1,500 cans of food in her room. It was INSANE.
I had some other classes where we did the canned food drive, and the boxes they had for the drive...the cans barely covered the bottom

Me too (obviously the reason I haven't worn mine in 4.5 years).
And I have two old pairs of glasses that I use as backups if the one I have on right now breaks or whatever. I used to lose my glasses a lot when I got up, so it was always handy having another pair of glasses on hand so you could just put on your old ones and look for your other ones

Once I went contacts, I couldn't go back. I can't stand having crappy vision. If I'm being lazy, I'll just wear the glasses.

One thing I really like about having plastic-framed glasses is that there aren't any screws on either side of your glasses...so you don't have to worry about your glasses lens falling out. I had that happen to me WAY too many times when I used to wear wire-framed glasses. :thumbsdow
