Help me. I was gonna ask this the other day when I remembered how the song went, and now I dont. Anyways, I think it was by Elton John. It was very poppy, and it was about a guy getting a girl or something like that. Im sure if anyone had any idea of the title, or knew part of the chorus I would know right away.

LOl Im trying, but I put it off for 2 days! :o But like I said, it *really* sounded like Elton John.. Im almost positive its him. It was very upbeat and poppy.. sounded like he did it in the 80's maybe? Couldve been late 70s though who knows. All I know is that it was about a girl. Maybe dancing too.. maybe.

Is this it?

Crockadile Rock by

Bernie Taupin and Elton John

I remember when rock was young
Me and Suzie had so much fun
holding hands and skimming stones
Had an old gold Chevy and a place of my own
But the biggest kick I ever got
was doing a thing called the Crocodile Rock
While the other kids were Rocking Round the Clock
we were hopping and bopping to the Crocodile Rock

[Chorus]
Well Crocodile Rocking is something shocking
when your feet just can't keep still
I never knew me a better time and I guess I never will
Oh Lawdy mama those Friday nights
when Suzie wore her dresses tight
and the Crocodile Rocking was out of sight

But the years went by and the rock just died
Suzie went and left us for some foreign guy
Long nights crying by the record machine
dreaming of my Chevy and my old blue jeans
But they'll never kill the thrills we've got
burning up to the Crocodile Rock
Learning fast as the weeks went past
we really thought the Crocodile Rock would last

[Chorus]
Well Crocodile Rocking is something shocking
when your feet just can't keep still
I never knew me a better time and I guess I never will
Oh Lawdy mama those Friday nights
when Suzie wore her dresses tight
and the Crocodile Rocking was out of sight

I remember when rock was young
Me and Suzie had so much fun
holding hands and skimming stones
Had an old gold Chevy and a place of my own
But the biggest kick I ever got
was doing a thing called the Crocodile Rock
While the other kids were Rocking Round the Clock
we were hopping and bopping to the Crocodile Rock

{Chorus]
Well Crocodile Rocking is something shocking
when your feet just can't keep still
I never knew me a better time and I guess I never will
Oh Lawdy mama those Friday nights
when Suzie wore her dresses tight
and the Crocodile Rocking was out of sight

Nope, it isnt Crocodile Rock, it seemed to be one of his lesser known songs, seeing as how Ive never really heard it before. Thanks though.:D

well, Elton has had something like 60 top 40 hits, some lyrics would be nice to narrow it down, lol

Yay! I was at work today and they played it again. Luckily, I had no customers so I was able to jot down some lyrics. I still think its by Elton John, but then again Im usually way off with these things.

Key lyrics:

Honeymoons and summer wine..

Heart for every girl

Intoxicating everyone

Always love a bride

Crazy mixed up world

The piano really stood out too for the music.
Hopefully someone can figure this one out for me!

That would be "The Heart of Every Girl" by Elton John. It's off the Mona Lisa Smile Soundtrack.
