She's a lot better than most of the singers today...at least she has talent :)

I really like her voice. I'm not a fan of her taste...but she has an amazing voice.

"Crazy in Love" was a really cool song.

i'm not into her type of music, but she is talented and worthy of fame unlike most artists of her genre.

Does anyone know what happened to the other two original members of Destiny's Child, that left the group?

anyway, yes beyonce is a very talented singer with the capability to use it in better ways than "Naughty Girl"

I read that Latoya recently signed a record deal, I don't know what happened to Latavia

I have her CD Dangerously in Love and I really like it!

Personally I liked her better with Destiny's Child. I haven't liked any of her solo songs.

I have been a fan of hers for 5 years. I have seen her in concert, one thing she does, which is so rare today, she sings live. She doesn't lipsynch and she got a great voice.

She had quite a year, highlighted by the Grammy's and performing with a legend Prince. And if Prince thinks she is great, she is great.

One of the injustice of the Superbrawl Halftime show mishap, was that it overshadowed a great performance of the national anthem by Beyonce. She was the best musical performer that night.

I am excited about the new Destiny's Child album, which comes out November 16. And DC will perform at the NFL Kickoff show.

she's okay, but I wish she'd lay off the vocal acrobatics, and I also wish she'd do more Independent Women/Survivor/Bootylicious style songs and less Baby Boy style tunes

I agree with you Buffyslayer! But Ms. Beyonce is a more mature performer now. Then again you also have to remember that Kelly was with her on those songs to make her sound good. This is not a I hate Beyonce remark, I just like her better with DC. I just think Kelly had a better CD, which wasn't as marketed as much as Beyonce. Again JMO! ;)

even tho Beyonce has certainly been the breakout star, everyone seems to forget Dillemma was as big a hit as ANY Beyonce song. Yes, it was Nelly's record, but when you think of the song, it's Kelly Rowland that really made the song stand out IMO.

Beyonce solo songs, should be different than Destiny's Child songs. If her solo work sounds a lot like DC, than what is the point of releasing a solo album, but just not to have to split the royalties.

On Journey Behind the Music, it was revealed that all of the other members of Journey were pissed that Steve Perry released a solo album, that sounded to much like Journey. If Beyonce did a DC like album, Kelly and Michelle would have felt slided.

DC wanted to experiment with different styled of music on their own, they did that, now they are back.

there have been lots of artists who still sounded the same when they went solo. Peter Cetera's late 80's solo recordings were indistinguishable from his early/mid 80's Chicago songs. A lot of Lionel Richie's solo ballads could've been Commodores tunes.

Plus, these days, Oh Sherrie STILL gets airplay on the 80's stations, whereas I haven't heard anything off Raised On Radio (Journey's 1986 album) in AGES

I know that, but I am still glad Beyonce decided not to do DC type songs on her solo album. Also, there is a big difference between going solo while taking a break from a group like Beyonce, and going solo after leaving group like Lionel Richie did.

Though I do like both DC and all of the girls solo albums. But I am glad they are back together. They are great on their own, but so much better together.

I understand what you are saying, and the critics were wrong to say that "Street Talk" was an extention of the work that Steve did with Journey, which it didn't.

I just made the observation that I preferred her work with DC and that Kelly was a better solo artist than she is.

Besides the ladies in DC wanted to do solo projects, and agreed to go out on there own and all agreed to take time off from DC. With Journey, Herbie Herbert their manager at the time, was upset with Neal Schon for doing his solo album first, because he knew that would make Steve Perry want to do one, which in turn started the whole downward spiral of the group not getting along.

That is what I was trying to say Jmygrl. DC wanted to take a break and try different things on their own. Which is great. I am glad they are back.

And about the Journey situation, the other members of Journey think "Street Talk" sounds like Journey. I didn't say that, that is their opinion, not mine.

tvje, I know the other members of Journey thought that the album sounded like another Journey album. Believe me I have been on plenty of Steve Perry sites that were really angry when the guys said that, but if you look at the liner notes on the CD no one from Journey played on it, Steve even said it himself that he purposely didn't get help from the other guys in the band, because it was a solo album, which means no members of Journey.

Solo efforts are always supposed to be experimental or an extention of what the singer/performer never gets to do with the original formula i.e. Journey arena rock sound. Which I think Beyonce accomplished, and so did Kelly, but I think it is too bad that more people didn't pay attention to Kelly as they did Beyonce, but then again, the lead or singer in the band is always the focus, just like Steve Perry is more known than Neal Schon. :D

I prefer her in Destiny's Child.. her voice is pretty good, but I don't like how she uses 8467489360 runs in her songs.
