I love J. Tambor - very funny guy....he works on Threes company playing various roles...so perhaps Suzanne Somers should be a guest...so they can work together again.
Then theres Jason Bateman who worked with Rick Schroder, maybe he should be a guest and it can be a role reversal...from silver spoons - in this episode, RS can play JB slimy childhood friend who was a rat....or David Garrison can play JB's old neighbor of whom he thought was having an affair with his mother.
Maybe Calista Flockhart can play a lawyer for Portias charector when she gets caught shoplifting....
Sounds funny??? I think so.

Use them in a few years when the writers are running out of ideas - when and IF they start running out of ideas.
Guest stars can be quite distracting - especially so early on in a series.

That's why AD was smart, they had obscure guest stars right from the get-go.
Not necessarily popular celebrities, but celebrities with talent.
Season 1 was FULL of guest stars.... Liza Minelli, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Henry Winkler, "Chubbs" from Happy Gilmore, Amy Phoeller.
AD pulls if off though, whereas on a show like W&G, it seems so forced.
pinkbarbie.... great suggestions.
I was thinking maybe Don Knotts would be better than Suzanne Somers, because he has both the Jeffrey Tambor and the Ron Howard connection.
(OT, just a bit -- Jessica Walter, aka Lucille Bluth, had a recurring role on the TC spinoff Three's A Crowd)

I think Gary Shandling would make a great guest. Maybe have him play "Larry Sanders", even if it's only a quick shot of him on TV.
He worked on The Larry Sanders Show with Jeffrey Tambor, but I'm sure most of you knew that.
Or someone from Coach, I know Jessica Walter guessed starred on their a number of times.
I wouldn't be surprised if Justine Bateman, Jason's sister makes an appearance.

Don't be.
She's guest starring this year as a possible love interest for Michael.

Wait, Justine will be playing a possible love interest for the character played by her brother...
That's way too strange, even by my standards...

It's suppossed to be an inside joke because it'll be around the time he harasses George Michael after he finds out that he has a crush on Maebe.

Hola!
Maybe cast Justine Bateman as a long lost daughter of Oscar or Lucille Bluth, but not reveal this for several episodes.
I would like to see Robert Picardo guest star as Tobias' brother, becasue I think the two actors are pretty similiar to me, and Picardo would be a good fit as a smug person.
