Okay, I get confused on why Nick@Nite will not show Roseambo. I have not seen this episode and would like to see it. How unfair-Nike@Nite

you DO NOT want to see Roseambo. I went out of my way to watch it on my local FOX channel and I have never been so disappointed in my life. It is by far the stupidest episode of all time. Do not watch it unless you have to. It's not even fun to watch for the unique season nine feeling, it's something totally different from anything else. It sucks.

I personally think that episode is one of the worst episodes of sitcom history. but I know the feeling you have to see an episode that you have never seen. And if you are a Roseanne fan you should see every episode so if you can catch the episode do it. but I don't know why Nick at Nite isn't showing it. sorry.

N@N won't show it due to the fact of it's terrorist themes. Same reason they always skip over that same episode of the Munsters for it's promoting violence or something. Oxygen should be showing very soon. My advice---watch it. It's not the worst, in my opinion but you should watch it if you're a fan. I do love that line after the robbers break in and Roseanne says "this better be dinner theatre!". That was funny.
The whole ninth season was awful (there's a reason it took Carsey-Werner more than two years to add season nine to the syndication package), but this episode takes the cake.

It truly is a very strange, strange episode. The underlying context is the feminist struggle, keep that in mind, but that doesn't make the episode any better.
Rather than being one of the worst episodes of a sitcom ever, I believe it's one fo the most bizzare, if not the absolute strangest.
There are funnny parts, like the line mentioned above, or when Jackie calls Roseanne "the ultimate in feminine protection," but parts that make no sense, such as the cameo by Steven Segal at the end of the episode.

To the poster who commented about it making no sense of Steven Segal being in the ep, hey the ep was all part of Roseanne's imagination when she was writing.

Does anyone know if UPN airs this episode? I've seen it on ABC (when it originally aired) and TBS, but I know N@N doesn't show it, and I don't have Oxygen. I'd like to get this episode on tape.

Yes, UPN has aired it. I saw it on UPN about 2 months ago.

I agree with almost everything you say - it is the worst episode of all time. BUT I would say watch it - just for the novelty value of seeing just how out of context it is :)

In the last season, you shouldn't say any of the episodes are bad because of how fake they are, because the last season was, to me, just for comedy, and extra time for Roseanne to make up one of the greatest endings to a series of all time!!! (IMO)

My local Fox station skipped over Roseambo today. :( I still haven't seen it since it last played on TBS. I'll have to record it off Oxygen at a friends house, or wait till I get digital cable at my place, I suppose...

Doesnt N@N skip most of the season 9 episodes? It seemed that the last run of season 9 showed mostly the episodes involving Dan leaving/returning, and Darlenes baby and it seemed they left out "most" of the eps. that were bizarre and fantasy like.
I do not have Oxygen and I recall seeing this episode. I thought I saw it on N@N, but now that I think about it maybe it was on my local. I could have sworn when Roseanne started on N@N it showed "all" the episodes. Agh it shows on so many stations I cannot remember who showed what.
I did not care for season 9 fantasy episodes, but this one just took it all. I usually watch just for the sake of having something to watch but I would prefer all the other seasons over 9. I am not sure that this is the worst episode ever but it rates on the top 10. I think a episode from one of the early seasons is worse, the one where Roseanne takes a bath and dreams and it becomes a musical, that is worse to me.
