Tom and Roseanne

I know in about 1993/1994 Tom Arnold and Roseanne get a divorce. But I thought Tom cheated on Roseanne but I recently read an article (from the 90's) that said Roseanne started going out with Ben Thomas while married to Tom. Does anyone know if either are true?

They divorced on claims of domestic violence, although it was later revealed that the claims weren't true. Ben Thomas was Roseanne's bodyguard; she was not seeing him when she was still married to Tom.

In the season six episode "Body by Jake" Roseanne holds her arm out to prop herself on the fridge. There is a gigantic bruise on her arm... strange
