I was just wondering, is there anyone here who subscribes to either XM or Sirius radio? If you so, do you like it? :lookaroun  :talk:

Yes indeed XM is really cool, but the only thing I see wrong with it is you have to be a fan of all genres of music like, pop, rock etc. or its not worth it, and the only other problem with it is if you pass under a bridge or something it like loses signal, but comes back like 3 seconds later. hope this helps

I guess it's a good thing I like different genres of music. I don't have either one yet, but have been considering it. I'd be interested in knowing if all programming is commercial free, and how many stations are dedicated to a particular genre (ex. 6 pop stations, 3 r&b stations, etc.) What's the breakdown?

There are absolutely no commercails, all there is like mabye a 30 second station promotion just saying who they are.

As for the channels that can be anwsered right here (http://www.xmradio.com/programming/full_channel_listing.jsp?sort=number)

Ok, another question. How soon do they add new songs? Say if regular commercial radio starts playing a brand new Britney Spears (or whoever) single on Monday, would you hear that on one of the satellite stations that day, that week, that month?? I like hearing new stuff as soon as it's available if I'm listening to a current hits (as opposed to oldies/old school) station.

I believe it would be the same, it would probably take a little longer for it to go into circulation but i have heard most of the recent stuff on there, so yes

They do however have 80's related commercials on the 80's channel. Which I think is awesome it's got news, tv themes, movie themes
